President Ruto Laments About Disrespect of African Leaders in Western Countries

President Ruto has decried the mistreatment of African leaders during foreign trips and international summits outside the continent.

Ruto, who spoke at the Mo Ibrahim Governance Weekend held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), recounted how African leaders were loaded onto buses like school children during a trip he did not disclose.

“It is not intelligent for 54 African Presidents to go and sit before one President from another country for a summit. Sometimes, we are mistreated. We are loaded onto buses like school kids. It is not right,” he said.

Ruto noted that African leaders have resolved to instead send delegates when they are invited to meetings in some Western nations that do not show them respect.

“The decision we have made as AU [African Union] is that going forward, if there is going to be a discussion between Africa and any other country, we would send the chair and the bureau, That is the position I am taking as the President of Kenya,” he added.

During Queen Elizabeth’s funeral ceremony in England last September, Ruto and other African heads of state boarded a bus while those from powerful nations were allowed to ride in their personal vehicles.

For instance, US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden were ferried to the funeral ceremony in the armor-plated Cadillac known as the “Beast”.

But you go there to beg instead of focusing on developing your countries, you instead loot and allow yourselves to be corrupted by the same people you are lamenting. Sit down Ruto, your first trip as a president was where again! Crocodile tears

While I understand the feeling of humiliation and disrespect, if African leaders would work 9n economic growth and not eating, act like leaders by working for their people, not constantly begging and borrowing, actually provide and deliver service, reduce corruption at all levels, hold everyone accountable for their crimes and while we're at it ensure court cases are speedy and fair, respect will come. Indonesia, S. Korea, China etc were all in this boat at some point in the 60s yet they are respected or feared now. Do you really respect the beggars on the street corner?

Well the US is powerful nation #1. If your worry was the bus, then just know you were thoroughly 'swept' while your corrupt heads were sleeping

Africa needs to form their own currency the way Gaddafi wanted. Kenya needs to join the BRICS. So far 19 countries have applied to join the BRICS. Africa needs to get Nukes and place them North, East, South, Central & West. Nobody is going to respect you without nukes.

The late Anglican Bishop of Cape Town Brother Mpilo Tutu once said:

" If you are silent in situations of injustice, you have taken the side of the oppressor."

I can longer remain silent when the church followers are failing to follow the directions that were given by the founder of this religion directing their followers how to pray in the New Testament
Churches have become cults where the church leaders and government officials are indirectly forcing people to participate in prayers without their consent.

Open your Bibles and read Matthew Chapter 6: 6-8. If you don't have a bible, I will paste the words from this chapter and the two verses and make it available for you to read silently:

Matthew 6:6-8
New International Version

"6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him."

Please follow the directions that were given about how to pray and the SHAKAHOLA tragedy will not happen again anywhere in the world.

Pray alone at home and stop forcing people to listen to your private and personal prayers to your deity.

Is there any difference between cult ODM owned by Raila(whose worshippers have twice volunteered to be killed for their tribe to rule and will do the same on 2/5/23) and Nthenge plus Ondera cults?

Beggar jambazi Ruto should stop complaining. Why visit the western capitals with 100+ delegates? These western nations take all Kenyans to be senseless for allowing their so-called leaders to take loans to loot after paying salaries to idle non-performing staff.

Ruto is the last person to complain about being disrespected. Anyone who steal another person’s political victory deserves no respect. The things African leaders do to the people - theft, corruption, murders, etc makes African leaders lose respect of the world.

Disrespect is enough reason for action. Kagame and Ruto lead the way. Lets see the action plan they working on. Talk is cheap

You borrow from east west north and south. A borrower is a slave to his lender. It's scriptural. Now you know why being loaded in he bus is in order.

Ruto is my president, and I am happy he learned a lesson first hand. What he does with that information, is otherwise all what matters going forward. However, my personal wish is that all these "humiliated leaders" should do a self reckoning of why this happened in the first place. As stated above, African leaders historically set themselves up when, instead of working on trying to use local resources, human and natural to make the sprawling continent self-reliant, theirs is just borrowing from the same West , spending lavishly, ignoring the long term effects of corruption, name them.
Just look at a small country like Singapore. It's GDP was equivalent to Kenya's at the latter's independence. At this time, it is like Kenya went backwards ever since. Why? Same reasons stated above. And before I get lambasted by people who hated the late Maghufuli and Gaddafi, the duo coincidentally embarked on exactly the same thing stated above. It is so sad Maghufuli died before achieving his brilliant dream of liberating TZ from such , but he had already learned, like Ruto just noticed, and acted on the lesson...There are some rumors that he was eliminated by the same West as he reneged on the honorable job of getting TZ out of that BS. Late Gadaffi had already achieved the dream, but again, we heard the same rumors about his death. I don't know but I don't think they died because of that though.

Respect is earned not given. Africa has done next to nothing in the last ten centuries to earn any respect. It's only been known as the continent of slavery, desease, hunger, tribal wars, backwardness and lately corruption, illegal migration and state failures.

Ruto: The majority of Kenyans have no respect for you. Your character is well known. Even the Deputy Secretary General of the UN knows you can not be trusted and are ruthless. The way you and your sycophants speak leaves a lot to be desired. You also are alleged to have stolen the election. Corruption is your forte: Who do you think has respect for the likes of you? And many African leaders are like you. You are in power illegally. Who will respect such a leader? Respect is earned not demanded.

Kiprotich (not verified)     Mon, 05/01/2023 @ 10:14am

You also disrespect your own African leaders, how do you expect to be respected? You call Raila “mtu ya kitendawili” multiple times amongst other insults to cheapen others yet you expect to be respected? We don’t like you in Baringo either!!

Too late. You sold your own people to slavery for lowest bidder, never protected your territory, publicly humiliate your women and children, beg mzungu to help you with everything, never cared for economic and infrastructure development, obsessed with mzungu coochie.
Hold your magnificent L!

Unadhani utaheshimiwa na nani iwapo hata wewe mwenyewe hujiheshimu?

Ili uheshimiwa, itakubidi ufanye yafuatayo:

1. Utupe jina lako la kwanza la ukoloni.

"Those who cannot remember the past, are condemned to repeat it."
