Raila, Azimio Bigwigs Missing in Action as Protests Rage

As police confront protesters across the country, Azimio Leader Raila Odinga and other top Azimio bigwigs are nowhere to be found.

Even MPs who are usually aware of Raila's itinerary are in the dark about his whereabouts. This is the first time Mr Odinga has completely disappeared during his protests against the Kenya Kwanza administration. In the past, he would lead protesters through tear gas and water canons or, if he didn't show up, appear later in the day for a press briefing.

However, on Wednesday, amid unconfirmed reports that he lost contact with most of his close aides, Mr Odinga was nowhere to be seen. Meanwhile, police have arrested two of Raila's key aides including his spokesperson Dennis Onyango and his bodyguard Maurice Ogeta.

On Wednesday morning, plain cloth officers arrested Raila's bodyguard Maurice Ogeta while he was driving to work and drove him to an unknown location. His whereabouts remain unknown. The former Prime Minister had called for three days of protests across the country to oppose the recently enacted Finance Act 2023. At a press conference led by Martha Karua and Kalonzo Musyoka on Tuesday, the opposition leaders roused their supporters to intensify the pushback against Ruto's leadership.

The Narc Kenya leader conveyed that Raila was handling another critical engagement and hence could not join the press briefing. In a joint statement, European ambassadors and High Commissioners urged the government and the opposition to pursue dialogue to mend the prevailing political tension. During the Saba Saba protests last week, Raila managed to force his way into the Central Business District. He later announced that there was an attempt on his life.

"Just like the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. or the detention of Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi did not stop the march for civil rights and freedom in the US, South Africa and India, no amount of shooting, teargas or even assassination will stop the march of history in this country," Raila said.

If Iddi was still alive he would hunt you down for underscoring his art of killing people!
Yoweri in the other hand has been taming those that want to terrorize his country. And in the same way the late Magufuli, Putin and many other African leaders are doing. Terrorism or violent dissidents cannot be allowed just because someone wants to share power.

If unchecked this demostrations could disintegrate in to anarchy. This is not the kind of leadership we want for Kenya.
What is so hard about these two'provocateurs' sitting down and ironing out their differences?
So far no demotrations have been peaceful, and it is the common man who bears the brunt.May be we should have another election without Raila, and Ruto as candidates.Yes,I know its not constitutional, but if it would bring peace why not.Laws are not etched in stones.

These politicians are exploiting Kenyans. It is not about food, taxes or gas. It is about them getting a share of the cake. Once that happens, the protests will be over. There is a global food and gas crisis. Global inflation is real. Furthermore, every successful nation pays taxes to offset social services. We may need a gradual introduction of taxes, but it is a prerequisite for a successful nation. However, the rich need to pay more than working class citizens, but it is a necessity. They must stop lying to Kenyans, and Kenyans must understand what is causing high cost of food and gas.Destroying a country to make a point doesn't help. Closing schools and businesses isn't helping Kenyans. How many must die before these politicians are satisfied?

Azimio is instigating violence by inciting and funding youth.. Why was UNGA at 220-230 bob during their so 'wonderful' reign? Isn't Azimia being hypocritical? They don't need to throw stones, they just need to write down, for all of us to see, their suggestions of how to bring down the cost of living... I can tell they don't have any viable idea, the empty noise of debes/sufurias is just that; NOISE. Give us solutions if you Are honest.. but then am reminded, all azimio porns have gotten us to where we are.....stop the drama and give Ruto some time to pull us off the dump you buried us in

The problem is in your head, pal!

The cost of living isn’t unique to Kenya, it’s worldwide caused by the COVID aftermath and the unprovoked Russian invasion of Ukrainian!

The problem in your head is dependence, i.e. too lazy to help yourself other than blaming the government of the day!

The government shouldn’t feed you, use your fackin brain 🧠 if you have any!

Muuaji Raila is just a criminal/cannibal/violent robber like expired Bokasa,Amin,Voster,Kones,Elizabeth,Ntimama,Botha,Smith,Kamau,Moi etc. There are no similarities with the likes of late Luther,Mandela or Ghadhi.I wonder why lunatics volunteer to be killed for the devil to rule.I also do not understand why some diasporan idiots including a number of so-called saved ones are inciting and backing the savage to continue slaughtering their loved ones.

"Those who cannot remember the past, are condemned to repeat it."

- George Santayana

Samoei has again turned the entire country into another KIAMBAA CHURCH MASSACRE IN ELDORET. Why? After the Kiambaa Church Holocaust which happened close to 16 years ago, no one has been arrested and taken to court to answer for their animal-like behavior.

Until those involved in the 2007 Kiambaa Holocaust are arrested and prosecuted, Kenya will witness many more Kiambaas again in future.

I sincerely believe that the ICC cases should be reopened again so that justice will finally prevail and come to over 1,000 Kenyans who lost their lives prematurely after the failed and stolen election of 2007.

Samoei is a photo copy of the late Tooitich's evil and decadent administration. Nyayo House will reopen again unless the entire people of Kenya using their "Critical Thinking Skills" demand that he resigns and a moral and wise leader is chosen to take his place.

Don't forget the words of wisdom from the late X Mpilo Tutu of Cape Town who said:

"If you are silent in situations of injustice, you have taken the side of the oppressor."

Azimio violent protesters should have that critical thinking. Raila, Ruto, Wamalwa, Karua, Kalonzo are not suffering. Nothing will change. Kenya needs to stand as a country not being a borrower. Also Ruto found a huge bill on his desk, let him try and get his work done.

Why do ODM fools think UN & ICC are SPECTER properties? How will those who are killed for Raila to rule Kenya benefit if at all he succeeds? Why must people become MIZOGA for Raila to rule?

Ole (not verified)     Thu, 07/20/2023 @ 11:41pm

There’s zero difference between Raila Odinga and the shakahola pastor. They both use human lives for get rich. Right now while his fanatics are getting killed or getting more poorer, Raila is busy collecting donations in the name of funding his violent protests.
