Wetangula's Son Weds in Lavish Wedding

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula's son, Alvin, on Saturday, August 26, got married to Naisula Leteipan in a grand wedding at their home in Bungoma County.

The traditional ceremony saw Alvin don a green suit adorned with matching patterns along the collar and arms while his bride wore an aquamarine green laced dress with traditional headgear. The event featured Bukusu music and delicacies which delighted the family and friends of the former Bungoma Senator. The ceremony was attended by notable leaders including Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria, Governors Joseph Ole Lenku and Kenneth Lusaka, former Speaker Francis Ole Kaparo, and Deputy Speaker Gladys Shollei.

In a moving letter to his son, Wetangula expressed his joy at seeing him find a companion who would help him grow into a great man and father. Wetangula praised his son's upbringing and work ethic, showcasing the potential for him to take good care of Leteipan and their future children. The National Assembly Speaker emphasized that love is not solely about the delightful moments, but rather about remaining united during difficult times and tapping into each other's inherent strength.

"Always remember, love is not just about the beautiful moments; it's about standing together during the storms and finding strength in each other's presence," he advised.

He went on to encourage the couple to treasure and cultivate their bond as it will serve as the foundation for their future. The speaker concluded with good wishes for the couple, hoping that their days are filled with joy, their obstacles become chances for personal development, and their hearts remain intertwined indefinitely.

On Saturday, August 19, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi's daughter, Maryanne, held a traditional wedding at her father's village in Vihiga County. Maryanne Mudavadi tied the knot to lawyer Nyaga Karanja.
