About a decade ago, Beatrice Njoki Mangure, a Kenyan entrepreneur, migrated to the United States in search of better opportunities.
Mangure could not have predicted that her journey would culminate in returning home with nothing. Evidently, her six-year marriage ended abruptly when her husband abandoned her for their housekeeper, despite meeting and marrying in church. Consequently, Mangure made the heart-wrenching decision to depart from her homeland and start her life anew in the US.
The US presented a difficult life for her, yet driven by motherly responsibilities, she persisted. Her struggles led her to seek medical help for depression. She later ventured in the catering industry in Georgia with a focus on Kenyan cuisine. However, her prosperity suffered a hit when a physical injury hindered her work.
She initially shrugged it off but six months later she found herself unable to endure any longer and decided to shut down her business and head back to Kenya. Regrettably, her return journey dealt her another harsh blow as all of her possessions valued at millions in shillings went missing.
“When I relocated back here to Kenya, I carried all my stuff and even bought new stuff. I had put them in a container, but I lost it all. It never arrived in Kenya. I came back with only two suitcases that I carried at the airport. That was what I brought back to this country. I lost things that were a lot of money, running in millions. But I didn’t get anything.” she recalled.
Her fortunes are now shattered and her millionaire status remains a bygone. Also, her Kenyan business venture has also gone under because of treacherous employees. With her luxury stripped away, she now lives on a budget. Resorting to operate a taxi in order to make ends meet, Mangure now desires support to help acquire a car to continue with her business and receive medical attention for her eye condition.

If pastors who preach that marriages are made in heaven, which I dont believe, are the worst examples of how to lead a moral God fearing life in modern Kenya. There was atime when men and women of the cloth were respected, and revered, but the Ng'angas of the world have tainted that image. You could meet someone in Karumaindo, and have a fruitful, fulfilling and harmonious union. And you could meet the devil incarnate in the house of God.
Well, not sure how much of the failed marriage contributed to her entrepreneurial debacle. But she still has her life, drive, and ambition. So she can always rebuild. These are some of the challenges of life.Sometimes it throws at you a carved ball...but you don't have to bend to catch it.Btw avoid men. They are dangerous.Just being facetious.GOOD LUCK.
Most Pastors of TodY are Suckers. They're the Kind of Prople JESUS Whooped in the Temple (when Enough was Enough of their Exploting TEMPLE Goers). They've turned Churches into DENS of Robbers.
Well said testimonies abound.
Relocating in Kenya 100% is never in the plan
Don't add up.
The Story looks Incomplete; or just Shallow; or Miswrittten.
Unfortunately Kenyans across the globe are not a trustworthy bunch. I'm not sure what meeting and marrying in church has to do with honesty or trustworthiness. Is there such a thing as an honest thief?
I wonder too, though they say that there is honor among thieves...
My 2 cents.
In this business world. Please don't ever trust anyone not unless a .45 is on the table. Choose your friends well. Meaning people who be there when you need them. Now that's what I call my family.
@ Kora kanini, spoken from a wealth of worldly knowledge, and probably personal experience... Anyway, very true. Contract are broken daily. The only good thing about it is that one can take legal action.Unfortunately some legal actions take years,or amount to nothing...
Some say trust but verify. But the very act of verifying is luck of trust in my opinion. So I totally agree with you.
To the disappointment of spouses ,and vitriol insults thrown at me,I say dont even trust your wife.Yes,Iknow some therapist, and councilors will tell you otherwise. What Imean here is that you cannot tell your wife every personal thing like wazungu tend to do ....Yes even the Koran tells Muslims to lie if it would "salvage" a critical situation;-to lie especially to Christians and Kaffirs .So @Kora Kanini, it's not only in business that trust should be avoided.
What happened to the container with her valuables. Was it not insured when carrying valuables to Kenya expect it will be stolen or you will have to bribe to get it out of the port.Did she use a Naija shipper .Was it wise to even ship now that Turkey has comfortably set up shop in Kenya and that is where all foreign goods including furniture is coming from would it not have made sense to buy new stuff or is it all about impressing the locals with made in China via America stuff.
I hope She didn't Contract KENYAns "Shipping Companies" in US. Many of Them Sack.
Yaah right, PPPian. Kenyan "shipping Companies are invaded by Kamiti criminals, except one I know. A friend of mine' shipment was vandalized by DMV shit company and almost everything he had worked for vanished without a trace. He might have gone into depression coz his only line I had went as dead as a dodo. May that shipping arrogant guy's soul rest and burn in hell. People do due deligence before settling on any of them.
Waovu kuliko Ibilisi.
I watched a video where she was asking for donations and I was left with more questions than answers. In the video, she said that she made millions in the US, were the millions in dollars or shillings? Her current place of residence as shown in the video did not support what one would expect a former millionaire to be staying in unless of course she lost the original high class one. Was she ripped off her money by family and friends to a point that she now has to beg? After what the Queen of Scams; Virginia Wangari did, I have become a skeptic whenever I hear our women in the motherland begging for money. Appealing to the emotions of diasporans for help is the new craze in Kenya.
And of course Njoki may have lost everything in the hands of the evil relatives and fake friends! They may have stolen everything she so hard worked for in America as hoped to live a decent life in her later years! This will is a huge reason for those in the Diaspora who tend to trust those scums back home. I really do wish Njoki well as she tries to get her feet grounded again!
Good! God bless.🙏
Pole mummy
Why is the story silent on her 2012 run for Embakasi South MP or 2017 run for Meru Senate seat?
Hopefully she gets the medical help she needs, but there is certainly more to this story. For instance, why wasn't she able to move back to Atlanta and resume her nursing career?
She's disabled.
There's missing facts with various time frames in her story.
@Mkenya 1234. She ran for public office twice and is now appealing for donations? There are 2 kinds of people in Kenya I would not help without very very very extensive background checks which would include details such as the exact minute they were born; POLITICIANS and PASTORS.
I guess she never learns anything
I support Abato and Mkenya 1234. There are alot of missing facts in the story. Please get us the actual facts to her story. I personally think the residence is staged for the story on Afrimax tv.
You are, I fear, correct. I watched that video and it makes zero sense. Did she have a visa or a green card, if the former then she was working illegally but if the latter, then as a resident she would be due SSDI and can get legal aid to help her apply. If the accident was not her fault, or work related, why didn't she do anything about it. Further why is she like a moth to a flame with scammers. Was the attempt to become a senator merely a job opportunity or an attempt to serve. And if the millions made were dollars then giving her any more will not solve her problem since she is bad with money. If it was shillings, most of us on these pages make millions of shillings monthly so that doesn't mean much.
The story does not add up at all. Not all relatives or friends are evil, but it's good to choose correctly or after learning. I have had to block some, but others have been nothing but a blessing. I have a friend who I have trusted for years, even when I would want to bless him, he would refuse until the assignment was completed, so in my opinion, no need to generalize all your family and friends, most are a blessing.
If she can move back to America, that’s her best bet to recover her life. Please don’t depend on donors because a lot are suffering. People will look at her as someone who had and now without. Partially
My Question is apart from the tangible things she had inside the container that was lost ,didn't she have anything else investing like Real Estate. That she could go back to and reinvest in Kenya. Dosent add up .
KENYAns both Home and Diaspora are Worse than MURDERERS. They're WITCHes and BITCHes who Would seek to DESTROY your Sweat and Wellbeing in the Name of Envy, Jelousy, Lust, Theft and GREED. Kwa hivyo JAMBO ni Moja. .... Hawaendi Mbinguni.😤
