President Uhuru to Launch Jubilee Manifesto on Monday

The Jubilee Party has announced that it will be launching manifesto for President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election on Monday at Safaricom Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi.

President Kenyatta, in his campaigns in the last few weeks has been urging Kenyans to extend his mandate to continue and complete the work started in the current term.

“In the pledge that will be made, we will highlight the achievements we made so far, present to the nation our vision and a concrete plan for a developed, progressive and united Kenya that we can all be proud of, with a firm commitment to all Kenyans on how, together, we will build on the solid foundations laid to take Kenya to the next level,” the party said in a statement.

The Jubilee party in the statement cited infrastructure development, stipends for the elderly and free maternal healthcare as some of its achievements in the last four years.

The launch of the manifesto by President Uhuru’s party will come just a day before the opposition National Super Alliance (NASA) launches theirs on Tuesday.

President Uhuru Kenyatta is seeking to defend his seat and will be looking to ride on his achievement in the last four years including the construction of Standard Gauge Railway, the last Mile Electricity connection program among other achievements.

This will be a very interesting election in checking the political maturity of our Kalenjin, Gikuyu and Luo brothers and sisters. Let us check how many Kalenjin, Gikuyu, and Luo people vote for another candidate different from their own.

What is central is to see how many Luo people will vote for Uhuru and how many Gikuyu people will vote for Raila! It has been said that the Gikuyu have taken an oath not to vote for another candidate different from their own!

Let us make sure that there will be no "cooking the numbers" in order to favor either candidate.
