Raila: President Uhuru Has Blood of Innocent Kenyans On His Hands

Opposition leader Raila Odinga has hit out at the Jubilee government and President Uhuru Kenyatta over police brutality meted on his supporters as they welcomed him back to the country following his 10-day trip to the US on Friday.

In a statement, the National Super Alliance (NASA) leader said that attempts to take Kenya back to dictatorship will be resisted.

"The world has today witnessed the use of unprecedented and unnecessary brutality by the Jubilee regime directed at a mass of humanity. I honour them for exercising their restraint against this brutality," Raila said.

"These supporters of NASA were unarmed civilians peacefully exercising their right to assembly. In a bid to bar citizens from exercising this right, the Jubilee regime used tear gas, water cannons, armed militia and live bullets to disperse supporters of the National Super Alliance, in the process killing several and maiming many."

Raila said that President Uhuru should be held responsible for what happened on Friday, saying that he has the blood of innocent Kenyans on his hands.

"This is a reckless, insensitive and primitive response to a crisis Uhuru Kenyatta himself has created. But it has been carefully planned by Jubilee to create an atmosphere of fear and chaos in which the Supreme Court has to make its ruling. NASA strongly condemns what has happened today, that is becoming a pattern in our country. We hold President Uhuru Kenyatta and his illegitimate regime responsible for this absurd and unfortunate turn of events. The President has the blood of innocent Kenyans on his hands," saud Raila.

"We condemn, equally strongly, the waste of tax-payers’ money on unnecessary war by security forces and militia against innocent and law abiding citizens by a regime that is deep in debt even as it continues to borrow massive amounts of money which is crippling the economy."

He added: "Kenyans are sending a clear message to President Uhuru Kenyatta and all backers of his illegitimate hold on to power that autocracy and stolen elections cannot deliver stability. A third Republic is at hand and no amount of violence, intimidation and theft of elections will deter Kenyans from realizing their dream of a government that has their popular mandate."

Uhuru: See what happened in Harare, Zimbabwe today.

Thousands of people came to demonstrate against your buddy dictator comrade Mugabe and there were no policemen anywhere! Can't you learn that whenever you send your robots (policemen) to the masses with all the modern weapons of mass destruction, you create a hostile climate between the people and your robots.

I sincerely believe that one day, (soon) Kenya will be liberated from your kind of oppressive government. You will be arrested, and if found guilty, you will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Kenya does not belong to you or any other political party - Jubilee or NASA!

Ano. CIVILIZED people (who know better) do NOT Mess with their Fathers or Granfathers. Ask the late president Fredrick Chiluba of Zambia (who Succeeded and Persecuted Kenneth Kaunda) and he will tell you that: Do NOT Mess with the Founding Father of a Nation. Robert Mugabe is the Founding FATHER of Zimbabwe who Fought Off the Colonial Land Grabbers and he is still doing it to date (Tooth and Nail). These Young Thugs in the name of 'liberators' need to watch their steps (lest it comes to haunt Zimbabwe sooner than later).

No Raila, your hands are the ones dripping with blood of lost lives. You incited violence and the police came out to carry out their duties as they are hired to uphold the law. How do you then blame Uhuru? We can see what you are trying to do...provoke the Police in order to attract the international community as you cry foul, Police violence. I think all these guys including MARAGA are united in uprooting Uhuru. Can't wait till Maraga yet again nullifies the election (that's what I predict). Uhuru is caught between a rock and hard place. Damned if does, damned if he does not.

Let Raila look at his trail before making such comments. In video, his supporters are carrying pieces of wood as if going to a construction site. These are not peaceful demonstrators, they are war mongers and looters. Let the parliament pass laws that allow demonstrators to do so at specific assigned places so they can have their freedom to demonstrate and at the same time not interfere with the rights and freedoms of those who do not wish to demonstrate. If we give people the right to assemble, we must also respect the rights of those who do not want to assemble. It is important to note that NASA is always on the look out for noise, chaos, confusion and death.NASA thrives only in crisis. If there is no crisis, there is no NASA. Death is especially important to use those who are vulnerable. First, the coup so many dead to take power(Presidency). 2007 so many dead for the prime minister position. This time no good numbers to claim anything, but still trying. Time is running out, but he will still try to attend funerals. That's what he was waiting for. Funeral for those willing to die for him. Jubilee, make sure the police restrain themselves and take videos, in case his followers decide to hurt themselves and blame the police to gain political mileage.

Innocent law abiding citizens were hard at work or home with their kids. Anyone disrupting peace should come expecting the full force of law enforcement officials. Msiba wa kujitakia hakuna kilio.
