Controversial Pastor James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism has been cleared in a case where he was charged with killing a woman in a fatal car crash in 2015.
Ng’ang’a and his co-accused; Simon Maina, Police Inspector Christopher Nzilu Nzioka and Patrick Kahindi Baya had been charged with four counts, including causing death by dangerous driving.
In a ruling on Friday, Nakuru Chief Magistrate Godfrey Odour said the four had no case to answer since the prosecution failed to prove its case.
The prosecution claimed that on July 26th, 2015 at about 5:45pm along the Naivasha-Nairobi highway at Manguo area in Limuru, Ng'ang'a caused the death of Mercy Njeri.
Njeri’s husband, Martin Mbugua, sustained serious injuries during the crash, but later said he had forgiven pastor Ng’ang’a. The pastor was further accused of failing to report the accident and giving false information to a police officer.
Ng’ang’a also faced a fourth count of conspiring to defeat justice, but denied all the charges. Tigoni Base Commander Patrick Baya was charged with neglecting official duty, while police inspector Nzioka was charged with giving false information and neglect of duty.
The crash allegedly involved a speeding red Range Rover belonging to Ng'ang'a and a Nissan March belonging to Njeri and her husband. There were reports that the pastor fled the scene of the accident using a colleague's Range Rover.

What a shame
The prosecution failed to prove... is the KEY here. That does not mean that the pastor did not cause the accident.
Given the technical expertise needed to reconstruct the accident, interview,or find credible witness...etc,calls for a big chunk of money. So if the investigation was sub par( an assumption here) then obviously justice might be skewed in this case. And of course the question is was thorough investigation done, and that there was no corruption involved? That's the million shilling question.
Karma will revisit this one day. What is surprising is people still sit down in his church to listen to this pastor, giving him 10% so he buy his cars to kill them.
Corrupt clergy. This man is one of the most corrupt clergies in Kenya. We can only imagine how much he has dished to the court system. He will go to hell. He is a thief, drunkard, womanizer and a former jailbird. May the Lord give eternal peace to the soul of the woman he murdered. She will one day find justice. Pastor, hell is waiting for you!!!

Its ok. Continue playing that guitar a mad man. You know, this life is not yours, it was given to you by your maker. You kill an innocent woman, and you do not even apologize to her family. Instead, you complain about the condition of the that so many criminals like you had sojourned. I don't know the kind of god you preach to those fools in your church. But the God we pray, the God of Isaac and Abram, is a patient God. Yes you won by beating justice by corrupting whoever with offerings and tithes your foolish congregants gives. But a time is coming, wont be that long, when God's justice will prevail, and you will be crawling like Nebukadenezer, trying to hit high notes not with a stringed guitar, but with grass strings that cannot differentiate between soprano and bass.
And people will flock in your Church on Sunday and you will tell them how the devil has been defeated. Woi God open the eyes of those who come to your Church
Poor continue to be intimidated, justice Geofrey, you tied yourself to an everlasting curse, with this pastor with the collusions yall have in the system, my prayer is for the Lord to deliver His justice to the family of the deceased, may her blood hunt those who caused her death so that the world can see, God intervene, pastor if realy it was you, confes and truth wil set u free, may those who caused her death sleep no more, enjoy no more til justice is delivered for her
The Kenya police is a discredited outfit and you would have to be infantile and naive to expect a successful prosecution. However, there's hope. The man has not been declared innocent,he has benefited by default, courtesy of poor police handling. Try the civil suit way,if you can find a determined and honest lawyer . Best wishes.
Woi hii Kenya yetu ni mungu tu
