MP Charles Kilonzo's Mother Fighting for Her Life after Attack by Machete-Wielding Gang

Yatta Member of Parliament Charles Kilonzo’s mother, Agnes Njeri is fighting for her life at Nairobi Hospital after she was attacked by unknown assailants on Saturday night.
 
Assailants carrying machetes are said to have attacked her after breaking into her home in Ndalani, Yatta Constituency, leaving her with serious head injuries.

She was first rushed to the Matuu Level IV Hospital where she was stabilized before being airlifted to Nairobi using a helicopter.

Confirming the incident, Yatta Police boss Eric Ng’etich says the motive of the attackers is yet to be established even as investigations into the incident continue.

MP Kilonzo has not issued any statement regarding the attack.
