Another Kenyan University Student Stabbed Several Times by Alleged Former Boyfriend

A third-year student at Pwani University in Kilifi is currently fighting for her life at the Coast General Hospital after she was stabbed by her alleged former boyfriend.

Nancy Chepkemboi has been rushed to hospital after she was stabbed several times at the institution on Sunday.

Ms. Chepkemboi was stabbed multiple times on the chest using a knife. The alleged attacker has been identified as Henry Kipkoech, a student at Kenyatta University.

The suspect allegedly arrived at Nancy's room in one of the institution's hostels on Sunday morning carrying a bag that was found to contain three knives.

He then locked the room and proceeded to attack the woman who was rescued by fellow students after they heard her scream.

The suspect has been arrested and taken to Kilifi Police Station.

The incident comes days after 25-year-old Ivy Wangechi, a sixth-year Moi University medical student was hacked to death by her alleged lover, Naftali Kinuthia, 28, outside the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret.

Kinuthia attacked Ivy with an axe before slitting her throat using a knife in broad daylight on Tuesday.

These murders must face death penalties to avoid any further copy cats/ replications! This is very alarming and our Kenyan sisters are not safe! No one owns anybody and people have a right to exit toxic relationships!

Ni lazima tuwache mila za Kiarabu na Kiyorupa ambazo, mwanamke ni chomho cha kutumia wakati wowote upendao na kumtupa porini na kuoa mwingine kila wakati unapomchoka. Katika mila za Wanayuropa, ni lazima mwanamke achukue jina la mumewe baada ya ndoa. Katika mila za mababu zangu, mwanamke hakuchukua jina la mume baada ya arusi.

Ni lazima wanawake waheshimiwe 24/7. Pia, ni muhimu wanawake wasitumiwe na wanaume kama chombo cha kumalizia "nyege" (lust) zao.
