Bomet Governor Dr. Joyce Laboso has returned to the country more than a month after she traveled abroad for treatment.
Governor Laboso returned to the country on Sunday after undergoing treatment in the United Kingdom and India for six weeks.
Laboso left the country for the UK on May 29th after handing over duties to Deputy Governor Hillary Barchok.
Her office announced she was taking a one-month medical leave, ending months of public speculation that she was ailing. Prior to that, she had not been seen in public for weeks.
Laboso was reportedly discharged from London's Royal Marden NHS Foundation Trust Hospital in the last week of June to seek further treatment in India.
Details of what ails Governor Laboso remain scanty but unconfirmed reports indicate she is battling cancer.
ODM leader Raila Odinga, Chief Justice David Maraga and Kericho Governor Paul Chepkwony visited Laboso in London a few weeks ago.
Former Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto and Chepalungu MP Gideon Koskei also visited Dr. Laboso.

How is Bomet hospital doing? Why go to Uk and India fro treatment when you have a hospital right there.
When I read she was one of the people who were financing tribal clashes I stopped respecting her.
Wishing you good health governor! My only issue is why do most politicians fly outside Kenya to seek medical treatment? Don't they trust Kenya's healthcare system? And if it is so, then who is to fix this but the same politicians? Such a good example set by politicians. Ask yourself, what is a common mwananchi to do if they get sick and cannot leave the country? Don't you see anything wrong thing with that? This has been happening waytoo long, its way overdue! Everyone gets sick at some point in their life. Please let us nit be fools that never learn and fix our healthcare system to a level politicians themselves will trust their own lives with it and only you politicians can do it!
Wish her well. Dr. Laboso had stated that she was in The Royal Marden NHS Foundation Trust Hospital in UK which is one of the Leading cancer research and treatment centers in that region. So it's fair to assume she has an oncological condition.
