Fake Gold Scam: DCI Hunting for Two Kenyans Who Allegedly Conned Foreigner of Sh300 Million

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Wednesday published photos and names of two Kenyans accused of conning a foreigner of millions of shillings.
In a statement posted on Twitter, the DCI appealed to members of the public to volunteer information that may lead to the arrest of the two suspects.
The DCI claims that Rose Omamo and Dillon Kibet colluded with other suspects to defraud their victim of Sh300 million ($3 million) in a fake gold scam. The identity of the victim and his/her nationality were not disclosed.
Warrants of arrest for the two suspects were issued by the Chief Magistrate’s Court at Milimani, said the DCI. Those with any information that may lead to the arrest of Kibet and Omamo were asked to report to the Officer in Charge of Serious Crime at DCI headquarters Block B, 2nd-floor room 82.
