Kenya Records Highest Daily Covid-19 Recoveries as Cases Rise to 11,673

Kenya has recorded the highest number of Covid-19 recoveries in a single day at 570.

90 percent (512) of the recovered patients were under the home-based care program while the remaining 58 were discharged from various health facilities across the country, according to the Health Ministry.

The cumulative number of recoveries in the country now stands at 3,638.

At the same time, 421 people tested positive for the disease in the past 24 hours, bringing the country’s Covid-19 caseload to 11,673 after 421.

The new cases comprise 409 Kenyans and 12 foreign nationals with 297 being males while 124 are females. They are aged between one to 83 years.

Sadly, eight more patients succumbed to Covid-19 pushing the death toll to 217.

The ministry indicated that 42 out of the country’s 47 counties have recorded a Covid-19 infection, with Nairobi leading at 6,491 cases followed by Mombasa (1,783), and Kiambu (640).
