"Mimi si Mganga," Raila Says as He Affirms His Belief in God

ODM leader, Raila Odinga has finally addressed claims by his political rivals that he does not believe in God.

Speaking on Thursday during a town hall meeting with religious leaders in Nairobi, Odinga affirmed his belief in God and rubbished claims that he engages in witchcraft.

He added that it is only through God’s grace that he has survived all the tribulations with his family.

"I’m a beneficiary of God’s mercies and miracles, so many times I’m left speechless when holier-than-thou members of our country say that Raila does not believe in God….ni mtu wa vitendawili, ni mganga. Who will not believe in God after going through what I have gone through?” Odinga posed.

Odinga further clarified that he is not opposed to the funding of the church, stating that his concern is the use of the church to play politics and launder money.

“We support the growth of the Church...we support the funding of the Church but we are against the use of the Church to play politics. People should also not use the church to launder money,” he said.

Odinga called on the religious leaders to rally behind the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), insisting that it has nothing to do with 2022 succession politics or creating positions for few people.

"We want a partnership with the Church. In 2010 there were wild allegations that were made... some said the new constitution was going to introduce abortion, some talked of the Kadhis courts, etc. This document is about inclusivity & oneness," Odinga told the clergy.

The problem isn’t Raila. I don’t like Raila at all but he has done so much for democracy in Kenya and suffered for it. The problem is kikuyu thinking Kenya is theirs.

Not mganga but visits waganga. He's a patient/customer of them so it is believed. He's taken too long to address the accusations. We never hear he was at church to worship God.

Raila like Hitler his fellow genocide advocate are consumers of the occult and devil worshipping to justify their evil plans and deeds. Christ was against hate and preached love and tolerance, when did you hear Raila preach that?
