Kenyan Man Collapses and Dies While Addressing Mourners at His Wife's Burial

A Kenyan family is mourning the death of their kin who collapsed and died during the burial of his wife.

55-year-old Daniel Tauni collapsed shortly after he began addressing mourners at the funeral of his late wife Janet Koikoi at Mukhula village in Navakholo, Kakamega County.

He had been invited to the podium to say his last words to his wife, who succumbed to Tuberculosis complications.

Tauni collapsed while making his speech and was rushed Navakholo Sub-County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead moments after admission.

His body was transferred to Webuye County Hospital mortuary while the burial of his wife continued after a brief interruption.

The cause of his collapse and death remains a mystery, with family members Wilson Maike and Nuru Namsonge indicating that the deceased had no history of heart problems.
