I Need Numbers to Impeach Raila if He Betrays Me, Kalonzo Says
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has urged the people of the Ukambani region to rally behind the party ahead of the August 9th elections.
Musyoka defended his decision to shelve his presidential bid in favor of ODM leader Raila Odinga, saying he negotiated with the community’s interests in mind.
Addressing mourners at a burial ceremony in Machakos County, Musyoka urged residents to only elect Wiper candidates, stating that he needed numerical strength to enforce the deal.
"I am appealing to every leader in this region to join Wiper so that you can give me strength in Azimio, whose key decision-makers are myself, President Uhuru Kenyatta and Mr Odinga,” Kalonzo remarked.
Musyoka, 68, also argued that having many elected MPs will enable him to impeach Odinga in case he betrays him.
“With many Wiper members, we shall be able to impeach Mr. Odinga if he fails to honor the deal we signed,” he said.
Wiper is among more than 20 political parties that signed a coalition agreement under the Azimio La Umoja last weekend and endorsed Odinga as the outfit’s presidential flagbearer in the forthcoming elections.
On Tuesday, the Wiper party leader said he will emulate Deputy President William Ruto by launching his 2027 presidential bid immediately after Odinga is sworn-in as president later this year. Musyoka indicated that he has learned a lot from Ruto’s early campaign strategy.
“DP Ruto started campaigns immediately after they were reelected in 2017 because he knew that he was focused on the presidency. I will also start my journey to State House a day after swearing-in of Odinga as president,” Musyoka said during a tour of Tharaka Nithi County.

Kalonzo, what makes you think Raila will betray you? Has he betrayed you before, and if so, why mislead fellow Kenyans into electing as our president, a man with no integrity, a man who can betray others- a man who cannot be trusted?

Kalonzo is one of the most selfish idiotic politician We have in the Republic of Kenya. All he thinks is what he can benefit from the system while Kenyans suffer.
It was a mistake for RAO to sign an agreement with this Kima. Kalonzo fits better with thieves like WSR and the TangaTanga yahoos.

Always campaigning without regard to people’s interests. These dead politics practiced by Ruto and kalonzo plus a cable of other cheezy politicians must be rejected.
My two cents worth. Don't wait until he betrays you. Make him pay in advance. Like pay you half of everything he owns, (stolen) so far. After all he can replenish in no time. Even from the consolidated fund if necessary.

It’s the same blood letting Ruto who killed women and children in 2007 asking the boda boda to go kill police offices and cause mayhem and anarchy in Kenya.
No kalenjin including @halisi have come out to condemn Ruto for making a childish call which puts Kenyans at risk.
Ruto was supportive of boda boda raping a diplomat. Ruto has no respect for women. He has a grave history of abusing and killing women including little girls he burned alive in kiambaa’s massacre.
The kale community have started showing deeply disturbing signs of how they will behave if Ruto was elected president. And so kalonzo has a lot more to learn from the desperate Ruto.
This shows that there will be no meaningful change no matter who is elected.

In my own assumption, I think Kalonzo ha some mental issues many Kenyans still need to figure out. He keeps claiming that he will be Raila’s deputy while there are other leaders who are better and more qualified than him. Kalonzo is a trouble maker for Azimio and he will cost RAO some votes.
It’s quite sickening for kalonzo to show personal greed and selfishness in his dealings with Kenyans! Ruto told Mudavandi he will handsomely reward him. Now kalonzo is already demanding favors even before Kenyans go to vote. The politics of selfishness and dishing Kenyans must come to an end. It’s so ridiculous how these politicians treat Kenyans with empty promises.
Kalonzo is still reeling from his own statement of not supporting RAO in the future, and now he is right in the deep of the mud. Confused fellow who will never be a president..
