Azimio Coalition Targets 15 Million Votes for Raila in the August Presidential Race

The Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition party says it targeting to garner at least 15 million votes in the August 9th presidential contest, out of the 22,102,532 registered voters.

The coalition’s national executive council made the announcement on Friday following a meeting at Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi and exuded confidence in winning the upcoming elections in the first round.

The council directed the coalition’s National Coalition Executive Committee in conjunction with the Presidential Campaign Secretariat to scrutinize the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) voter register and submit a report by June 28th.

"After reviewing various reports regarding the party’s ongoing campaign preparations for the general election and other matters related to the election, the council noted that the 2022 voters register had now been published in the Kenya Gazette and directed the National Coalition Executive Committee together with the Presidential Campaign Secretariat to interrogate the data further and report their observations back to the council by 28th June 2022," the council said in a statement.

The council further urged supporters of the Azimio coalition and Kenyans at large to engage in peaceful campaigns characterized by respect for dissent and the views of others.

The coalition’s presidential candidate Raila Odinga chaired the meeting which was convened by President Kenyatta, who is the Chairman of the Azimio national executive council. Kenyatta is away in Kigali, Rwanda for the 26th Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting.

Other council members present include Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua, Charity Ngilu, Gideon Moi, Hassan Joho, Naomi Shaban, Wafula Wamunyinyi, Sabina Chege, Abdi Noor Omar Farah, and Junet Mohamed.

What a dream. KENYA has and will REMAIN torn apart at the middle. The only person who could have won easily was Matiba, but MOI stole the elections, based on the facts that Ken and Jaramogi couldn't agree.
The issue here is JOMO made KENYA a tribal state.
