I Don't Need President Uhuru's Support to Defeat You, Raila Tells Ruto

Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition party presidential flagbearer Raila Odinga has exuded confidence that he will trounce his main competitor Deputy President William Ruto of the UDA party by a large margin.

Odinga, who is giving his fifth try at the presidency, reiterated that he does not need President Kenyatta’s support to defeat Ruto in the August 9th presidential contest.

“I will give him a run for his money… I am beating him hands-down come next month,” Odinga said while campaigning in Homa Bay County on Sunday.

Odinga was responding to Ruto, who urged President Kenyatta to keep off his succession politics and allow him to face off with the ODM party leader in the upcoming elections.

“When you needed a friend to stand with you, I stood with you. Raila never stood with you, Martha Karua never stood with you, I am not asking for you to support me, I am asking you to give me space so that I can deal with Raila,” Ruto told Uhuru during a campaign rally in Tharaka Nithi County on Saturday.

He added: “I am asking my brother Uhuru Kenyatta, mimi sishindani na wewe my friend, mimi nashindanda na Raila, wewe simama kando. I want Uhuru Kenyatta to step aside, huyo Raila nitammalizia asubuhi na mapema.”

Kenyatta whose second and final term ends after the August 9th general elections has endorsed Odinga, 77, as his preferred successor following their March 9th, 2018 handshake.

Don’t lie Ruto. You need Uhuru’s backing to win the polls. Just accept defeated now that Uhuru has said he will not back you. Pack your stuff and wait to move to Surgoi after 8/9/22.

It’s not for Uhuru to have Ruto win. Already his support for Ruto is not necessary. Perhaps you are right that should Ruto had Uhurus support, he could have been having more votes above his expected win. Nonetheless Ruto is winning without Uhurus support.
The wheelbarrow is waiting to pick up Raila to yet another retirement in Bondo.

I sure hope you ain’t a retard not to see that Ruto list the race long time ago. Kenyans are not going to vote for 2 thieves to excoriate Kenya’s coffers. Ruto can’t be president because he is immature and very childish. Worse than you @assista.

Ruto still maintains Rift Valley, he has Mount Kenya, has more votes in Western, Coast, Eastern and North Eastern than in 2017. MK and RV ( tyranny of numbers) is a sure win. Only needs 25% of the rest of regions to make 50 plus 1.
Raila in the other hand has tyranny of numbers in Nyanza. Then he probably gets half or 3/4 of the rest. Not enough votes to win.
It’s as simple as that.

Experience with this Evil world has Taught me One thing: Don't confess (even your Closest friends) your Political strategies. Say very Little and Plan b a Lot because Friends and Foes (especially your Closest friends) can undermine you Even to your Grave. So I would rather Some of these☝☝☝ Politicians keep Quiet.
