South African Opposition Leader Julius Malema Urges Raila to Concede Defeat

South Africa opposition party leader Julius Malema has urged Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga to concede defeat after losing the August 9th election to William Ruto.

Malema, who is the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters party, called upon Odinga to concede to avoid going down in history as one who was desperate for power.

“We call on Mr. Raila Odinga to accept the election’s outcome, and not form part of a tradition of causing instability, and uncertainty in African governance,” said Malema.

He also congratulated president-elect Ruto and commended Kenya for conducting peaceful and democratic elections.

“This morning, I spoke to President-elect William Ruto and congratulated him for winning the democratic elections in Kenya,” Malema added.

Ruto was declared the winner of the August 9th presidential election after garnering 7,176,141 votes (50.49 percent of the total votes), defeating his main competitor Raila Odinga by 233,211 votes.

Odinga, who secured 6,942,930 votes (48.85 percent), has filed a petition at the Supreme Court seeking to have nullification of Ruto’s victory and a fresh presidential election held in strict conformity with the constitution and election laws.

Malema shut the f up wnd focus on SA and killings in capetown and soweto + jburg areas. We have a legal process in Kenya. We are a democracy here. That’s what courts are for!! Sisi twakujua sana, lakini wewe humjui Ruto.

Even a mad person can tell you something beneficial.
Power hungry, yes, didn't you guys see what Martha did to Kalonzo, she's also in cloud nine, thinking of what power she could have had if only Raila had won.

I agree with you Tasfiri. There are many fools that follow Raila because they think he will change their life in the lake area. How many have been invited to his home in Karen? Raila looks so stupid in the eyes of the whole world. So embarrasing! He need to let it go!!! Letting it go will make our country Kenya look democratic and decent.

Oh, nice to see Malema is taking time off from murdering African immigrants in South Africa to lecture Kenyans.

What is wrong with going to court? Going to court is a constitutional right for all Kenya. The court will rule for whoever presents a compelling case and we move on.

    Does Malema live in Kenya?
Why should Raila Concede defeat in an election he didn’t lose?

  20. RonyAug 24, 2022

Malema is a drunkard and he thinks with a 1/4 of his damn brain. Who the hell is Malema anyway?? Stay in your racist South Africa fool. Raila never ask you for your opinion and advice.

  21. JesseAug 24, 2022

Malema - We do not do things the way you do things in South Africa. Raila will not concede because his election was stolen. You can personally concede in any election you get involved in South Africa if you wish. Stop trying to make Kenya a Banana Republic because your thieving friend Ruto rigged the election. Your advice us null and void as far as Kenya’s election is concerned.

Everyone outside and within the political parties in Kenya showered praises on IEBC all the the way until the outcome was announced. And that’s when we started hearing that the same process that was being praised as transparent started being called opaque. What suddenly changed? Well apparently we know what changed is not the good and well praised process of IEBC but the announcement of the winner. Raila had a bigger hand in every corrupt way or even in better terms state campaign machinery. Who would beat that? He had the president, his CS’s his PS”s public, security Agencies, all public servants including up to the local chiefs. What could go go wrong with this combination?
The people of Kenya already decided whom they want to be their leader. The four commissioners are actually illegally serving the commission. They were appointed beyond the legal allowed time just to serve special interests not the commission.
