US Billionaire Bill Gates on a Visit to Kenya

American business magnate and philanthropist Bill Gates is on a tour to Kenya where he is expected to hold a series of public engagements.

Gates, who is the co-founder of Microsoft, will first tour Makueni County on Tuesday and have a meeting with Governor Mutula Kilonzo at his office.

With healthcare at the top of his mission in Kenya, the 67-year-old billionaire is slated to visit the Makueni Mother and Child Hospital, which mainly deals with mother and child healthcare. He will also visit Kathonzweni Health Centre where he is expected to meet health volunteers.

Gates will later meet two farmers in Kathonzweni who are championing for Climate Change and are farming through irrigation.

On Thursday, the businessman is expected to give a talk on Innovating for Food Security and Climate Change in Africa, an event that will be streamed live from the University of Nairobi.

Gates is also set to meet government officials and other stakeholders in the private sector in a bid to find markets for American companies trading in the Genetically Modified Orgasm sector.

He will announce Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's commitment to supporting new innovations and ingenuity aimed at improving health, food security, and gender equality in African countries.

The Gates Foundation’s flagship agricultural program, the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa, works to transition farmers away from traditional seeds and crops to patented seeds, fossil-fuel-based fertilizers, and other inputs to grow commodity crops for the global market.

It also focuses on improving people's health and giving them the chance to lift themselves out of hunger and extreme poverty.

Gates last visited the country in 2016.

He refused to carry a few things for my cousins. They were less than 5 pounds. Is anyone traveling to Kenya soon so I can send them?
