President Ruto has made new appointments to various State agencies, including the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
In the appointments announced on Friday, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party National Elections Board (NEB) Chairman Anthony Ng’ang’a Mwaura was named the new KRA Chairperson to replace Francis Muthaura.
Ruto also appointed Hamisi Mwashobo Mwaguya as the Kenya Maritime Authority Chairperson, David Wamatsi Omusotsi as the Chairperson of the Council of Kenya Utalii College, and Gen. (Rtd) Joseph Kiptoo Kasaon as the Kenya Meat Commission (KMC) Chairperson.
James Waore Dianga takes over as the Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA) Chairperson, former Athletics Kenya Federation (FKF) President Gen. (Rtd) Jackson Tuei is the new Sports, Arts and Social Development Fund Oversight Board Chairperson while Halima Yussuf Mucheke was named the Chairperson of the Tourism Regulatory Board.
At the same time, Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi gazetted former Taita Taveta Governor John Mruttu as the new Chairperson of the Board of the Agricultural Finance Corporation.
The new appointees are expected to serve in their roles for a period of three years effective immediately.
