CS Kindiki Replaces All Eight Uhuru-Era Regional Commissioners in New Changes

Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof. Kithure Kindiki has replaced all eight regional commissioners who were appointed during former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration.
The eight have been recalled to the Interior Ministry headquarters in Nairobi for further deployment and new commissioners appointed to replace them.
In a notice on Saturday, Kindiki said the changes which take effect immediately are aimed at enhancing service delivery.
“All region commissioners have been recalled to the ministry headquarters for further deployment,” reads the notice in part.
The new regional commissioners are Rhoda Onyancha (Coast), John Otieno (North Eastern), Paul Rotich (Eastern), Fredrick Shisia (Central), Abdi Hassan (Rift Valley), Samson Irungu (Western), Flora Mworoa (Nyanza) and Katee Mwanza (Nairobi).
CS Kindiki also appointed Anne Ng'etich, who currently serves as the Secretary in charge of Administration in the State Department of Lands and Physical Planning, as the new Interior Principal Assistant Secretary in the Interior ministry.
Beverly Opwora, currently the County Commissioner for Makueni County, takes over as the Secretary for National Administration while Jacob Namulen, who is the County Commissioner for Wajir County, is the new Secretary for Peace Building.
