Matiang'i to be Charged with Publication of False Information
Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i faces two charges in relation to the alleged police raid of his home on the night of February 9th.
Matiang’i is accused of attempting to cause panic, chaos, or violence amongst Kenyans by claiming that his house was raided by a battalion of officers intending to arrest him, according to the charge sheet by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
He faces a second charge of publication of false information contrary to section 23 of the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes.
“On February 8th, 2023, at Karen Ngong View Estate within Nairobi County in the Republic of Kenya with intent to cause panic, chaos or violence amongst citizens of Kenya jointly with others published in the media that your house had been raided by a battalion and or “garrison” of officers intending to arrest you, a fact you knew to be false,” reads the charge sheet prepared by Chief Inspector of Police attached to the Investigations Bureau of DCI Maurice Shiraho.
The charge sheet emerged after Matiang’i presented himself at the DCI headquarters on Tuesday morning for questioning over the alleged raid.
The former cabinet secretary was accompanied by a battery of 12 attorneys led by Danstan Omari.

I'm not a lawyer, but this is not going anywhere. For one, Matiang'i did not publish anything. The publisher was Citizen TV. 2nd, Matiang'i did not cause anything to be published. All the communication was from his lawyer. Matiang'i can only be charged with hosting the false messengers, and the other charges to the news station and the lawyer(s). Matiang'i is smart, he let others do the speaking.

He is only being charged with 2 offenses.Any Idea"Usually when someone surrounds himself with lawyers,its to protect themselves.In this case what is Matiang'i's lawyers supposed to do,or protect,and defend him from?
The majority of the 12 lawyers are his buddies! Wakisii got each other’s backs my friend! Also to cause intimidation to the DCI! The DCI have no case against him!!it’s just witch-hunt from the current government.

If the source of the alleged police surrounding the house didn’t come from the owner of the house (Matiangi), why then didn’t he deny the reporting? And until today I have never heard Matiangi say that the lawyers were lying when they said that the police were in his house.
Was it him who called the lawyers and reporters or was it Raila? And even with this hullabaloo we have not seen any photos of not only one but the many police officers who were said to have surrounded the compound.
As the saying goes “the guilty are always afraid “.
Wasting people’s time. This is just vengeance on the faithful Uhuru men. Ruto holds a lot of grudge against Matiangi. Matiangi took all his roles as VP when Ruto was DP. He and his people hate Matiang’i. He’s now weaponizing the DOJ to punish his perceived enemies from the previous regime.
Oh no, don't mix things, this is all about the fake police raid on Matiang'i residence. They faked the raid to get political mileage.

Many years ago, when I was a "blind follower" of the colonial/slave foreign religion that is based on the late son of Mariam, I was conditioned to say this prayer:
"... and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us..."
I thought that the son of Ruto (Samoei) is a follower of this foreign religion and he sure must be saying the "lord's prayer" every time that he prays. Does he sincerely believe in this prayer or he is a just a diehard hypocrite?
