Boda Boda Rider in Court for Killing Banissa MP in Hit-and-Run Accident
A boda boda rider was on Friday arraigned in court for killing Banissa MP Kullow Maalim Hassan in a hit-and-run accident.
Philip Mweteli appeared before Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Esther Kimilu where he was charged with five counts.
The accused denied that on March 25th, 2023 at South B in Nairobi, he rode a motorcycle dangerously, and knocked down Hassan, who suffered injuries and died while undergoing treatment.
He also pleaded not guilty to other counts of failing to report the accident and riding a motorcycle without a license.
Mweteli was released on a cash bail of Sh300,000 with an alternative bond of Sh500,000 with one surety.
The case will be mentioned on April 18th for pretrial.
The second-time MP was walking in Nairobi’s South B area on Saturday he was knocked down by a motorcyclist, who did not stop after the accident.
He was taken to Aga Khan Hospital where he died from his injuries on Wednesday morning while undergoing treatment.

Now this is where if you don't have money, you will rot in kenya. So the accident happens on 25 and within a month the courts are ready for pre trial hearing....thats so fast. How comes other cases last forever in the courts?

Huyo setani needs a sniper.Some might disagree but families loosing their loved ones because of Raila MUST BE STOPPED.Raila’s impunity to kill must also be reciprocated licensing his target victim(s) the right to kill him in advance.
