Duale: Kenyatta Family Has Sent Emissaries to Ruto Pleading to be Left Alone
Defense Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale says the Kenya Kwanza administration cannot guarantee the safety of former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s family and their property.
Duale alleged that Kenyatta’s family is sponsoring the ongoing anti-government protests by the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition in order to force a handshake between President Ruto and opposition leader Raila Odinga.
He claimed that the Kenyattas have sent emissaries to plead that they be left alone but no one can guarantee their request while ordinary citizens faced insecurity, poverty, and corruption.
“Why is the Kenyatta family involved in causing this instability? They are the richest family not in Kenya, but in Africa. They have sent emissaries that the former president Kenyatta and his family shall be left alone,” said Duale in an interview on Spice FM.
“Nobody can guarantee them that. That guarantee given to them should also be given to ordinary citizens like you and me,” he added.
The cabinet secretary claimed that Kenyatta wants to force a handshake between Ruto and Odinga as part of a scheme to cover up their crimes in the four years since their handshake in 2018.
“That’s why the president is very consistent in the whole shenanigans, what is going on, is to have handshake bring Raila Odinga into government so that he can hold brief and do bidding for the Kenyatta family on the crimes they committed against the people of Kenya during their last five or four years of their administration,” he said.
Duale noted that if there are any audit issues related to the Kenyatta administration, they would be exposed by the public, Parliament and independent institutions such as the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and the police.
He urged President Ruto to uphold the constitution, protect citizens’ rights and bring those behind any unrest to justice.

President Uhuru Ngina Kenyatta warned Kenyans against casting their vote to a very incompetent man as the next president of Kenya. This man did not work for five years and yet he used the state apparatus to advance his academic status while getting government security for his personal properties.
