Kenya Stands With Israel, Ruto Says Amidst War With Palestine

President William Ruto has made a resolute decision to stand in solidarity with Israel in light of recent attacks by Palestine.

A press release issued on Saturday by Ruto denounced the attacks, stressing that Kenya vehemently opposes terrorism. He affirmed that Kenya is committed to its support for the State of Israel and strongly deplores the malicious attack on innocent citizens as acts of terror. On Saturday, militants from Palestine unleashed a sizable attack on Israel, trespassing over the Gaza-Israel barrier and taking hold of the Gaza boundary entrances and adjacent Israeli metropolises. This assault has resulted in a death toll of at least 250 individuals.

President Ruto emphasized Kenya's strong stance that terrorism holds no justifiable ground. He stressed that all acts of terrorism pose threats to global security and can never be defended, regardless of the perpetrators or their motives. The President rallied the world to come together in trending a hardline approach in bringing to justice all connected to terrorism including organizers, sponsors, financiers and facilitators while holding them accountable for their vile crimes.

"In consideration of the complex and delicate context of the security situation in Israel-Palestine, Kenya also makes a call for the de-escalation of violence and urges all parties to restrain from further military action, given its potential to intensify carnage and the suffering of innocent civilians, and to trigger heightened tension in the region and beyond," he said.

With rising casualties, Kenya is calling for everyone involved to respect the rights of civilians and fulfil their responsibilities under international law. The President called for an end to the violence from both factions. The Head of State also confirmed Kenya's unwavering support for those advocating for an immediate cease-fire and a peaceful resolution to the conflict. On behalf of the people and government of Kenya, Ruto extended his heartfelt sympathy and offered condolences to the families affected by this tragedy.

He thinks he’s an American , & not an average American. He’s a high ranking American govt official who has the access to American military power.

They have completely brainwashed him.

Shame on Joe Biden & the American government. They’re busy lying to idiots in Africa.
Shame on them.

Ndugu Samoei. Are you aware that your current home Sugoi had been given to the Israelis by the British in 1903. Had the Israelis accepted the offer, you would be going through what the Palestinians are experiencing now.

"The Uganda Scheme was a plan to give a portion of the East Africa Protectorate to the Jewish people as a homeland. The offer was first made by British Colonial Secretary Joseph Chamberlain to Theodore Herzl's Zionist group in 1903. He offered 5,000 square miles (13,000 km2) of the Mau Escarpment in what is today Kenya."

@SULUHISHO irrespective of past . Ruto does not have mandate to choose for Kenyans. Those who fought the Mau Mau war and us who know the story , know what it means to be FREEE. to be occupied in own land who one has a birth right is the worst that one can endure . i do not condone the hamas killing but i can understand their frustration . No one supports them in UN no resolution is passed because USA vetos it . most of the settlers in westbank and east jerusalem are US Jews they came for free land they are chasing palestinian farmers from the land they own for hundreds of years . where can Palestinians go??

@ Dada Loise:

I lived throughout the entire struggle for the independence of Kenya. It was not a picnic! The word "Mau Mau" was coined by the British land thieves, rapists, and occupiers. The Freedom fighters called themselves, "The Land and Freedom Army." They used to sing:

"Wiyathi wiyathi
Wiyathi bururi wa Kirinyaga
Bururi wa gikeno
Witia mbara na mititu
Kenya ni bururi wa andu airu."

It is indeed sad to see what Ndugu Rigathi and Samoei are doing to Kenya now.
Had Wafula Wanyonyi Chebukati followed strictly the minimum requirements stipulated in our New Constitution in Chapter 6, neither Raila nor Samoei would have been eligible to run for the presidency of Kenya. Both had and still have many skeletons rattling in their closets.

Jews, and Arabs/palestinians are supposed to be cousins. We see family feuds over land all the time.
Obviously this Israel vs Palestine issue is very complicated.Who knows what would have happened if the British did not issues The Balfour Declaration that paved ahome for the Jews. Not only that, truth be told, historically that land belongs to Jews. A two state solution is the best option, but obviously it's not that easy to implement since both sides have their "not-go positions".
And Islam does not help when some verses say" Kill Jews where ever you find them...".Worse some Arabs have the position that Israel should not exist.I guess we need the wisdom of another Solomon.

Apartheid must be condemned! Palestinians people ought to determine their destiny not egregious imprisonment in an open air prison under deplorable conditions!

Religion is EVIL! They are both religious fanatics fighting for each of their gods!

Yeah, Israel was created in 1940’s, let it live but with a two state solution. The Jews won’t allow the Palestinians people being absorbed into a one state cause they will be the majority, and then the Jews will have to demonize democracy and go full authoritarian dictatorship.

It’s very sad to see people suffering over religious extremism on both sides!

Certainly I agree with you. Any human rights violation should be condemned where ever they occur. But Hamas does not help the course when in their charter, they vow to erase Israel from existence. And they do not want a 2 state solution.
Now matters will even worse since Israel has vowed to cut electricity, and all the "humanitarinian" supplies it has been sending there.
@ Juju, my concern is more about why human beings cannot get together, and amicably solve such matters.I would hope that we are smart enough do that, since we all want peace, and pursuit of happiness.Aren't we?

Ndugu Maxiley:

Jews originated from Babylon, the current State of Iraq. Their "deity" promised to give them a land already settled by the Palestinians. That's where they settled.
They settled and lived among the Palestinians until there was a famine. Thereafter they moved to Egypt. Later, Moshe (Moses) escaped with the Jews and waited to be given a land by their deity.

When they arrived in present nation of Jordan at a place called Madaba, their deity showed them Palestine which was already occupied with Palestinians. Moshe did not make it to Palestine.

Ndugu Suluhisho, asante for your in depth brief history of that region...
When the British took over the control of that region from the Ottoman empire, they promised the Jews a homeland there.Even though the place was called palestine,it was inhabited by all different kinds of people, and not all were Arabs, or muslims. My understanding is that there was not a people called "palestinians" at that particular place...Can you elaborate on that if could.Thanks.

@ Ndugu Maxiley:

The current political quagmire the world finds itself struggling to make sense out of it was created by the British during their heydays. In addition to the creation of the State of Israel by the same people in 1948 after the Second World War, Kenya had been first offered to the Jews in 1903. The Jews came to Kenya, surveyed the land but did not like it.
The British have so much to answer for! Most of the contemporary wars outside of Europe can be traced to the legacies of European imperial meddling.

Did you know that Jamaica has a long-standing Jewish community, dating back to Jews fleeing persecution of the Spanish Inquisition in the 16th century? Then, when the Britain captured Jamaica from the Spanish, Jewish refugees & immigrants were welcomed by the British so that by mid 1700, 18% of the island was Jewish! Later still, during 2nd World War the British offered Jamaica as a place to which Jewish refugees could escape.
I did not answer your question Ndugu Maxiley. Why? the British are in a better position to do that.

@Suluhisho, I had no idea about the connection between the British, and Jamaica, other than Jamaica being a British colony. What I can is that, with the current access to history, knowledge, and with the intemingling of people world over, it will be very difficulty to go back to the "Great Britain" era.We cannot not allow history to be forgotten lest it repeats.

Ndugu SULUHISHO, history has never been my forte, and I try to be open minded and learn from those who know more than me.That of course applies to any subject.
That said,God of Abraham promised him anew homeland=Caanan. My understanding is that this is the modern Israel,Gaza, and West bank included...
Anyway, talking of deities, and their promises. Hearing from Muslims, and reading the Koran, one gets the impression that Allah is not the same as the God Christians believe in.What is your take on this as a historical subject.

I stand corrected, but when I said historically Israel belongs to the Jews,I think I am correct. Not that you are disputing...but Iam sure you are aware that around 1000 BC, this is the place where King David an Israelite ruled, then later his son King Solomon took the reigns. This was later taken by the Romans, then the Ottoman/Turks.You first forward to the Arabs, them then British...etc.
Anyway,it seems that the Arabs hate the Jews more than the Jews hate the Arabs,I could be wrong. I am not well conversant with the Torah,or the Jewish religion, but I chance to say that their is no verse in their that says ,"kill all the Arabs where ever you find them".Time and again in the Koran the Jews, and Christians are painted negatively With this backdrop one can understand why the Jews do not trust the Arabs. That said, this kind of atrocities should not be existing in this modern world where we seek to live in harmony our past notwithstanding.

The following "YouTube" in Swahili language (presented today) answers almost all your questions about the current conflict between Palestinians and the Jews. Critical thinking skills demand that we objectively analyze facts in order to form a rational judgment. Unfortunately that is not happening now. Emotions have taken over human rational thinking and the amygdala is currently in charge of solving this challenging issue.

Kenya is not aligned with any of outside countries. Kenya is neutral. Let President Ruto be aligned with whomever he chooses.
Kenya is aligned with the God of Africans.
Kenya is and will remain God guided, not guided by any man or leader.
May the will of God be done in Kenya.
Let us keep watching this space.

How about they deserved it.Enough about the holocaust and it’s horrors these people are not special they claim to be from the Middle East yet the Palestinians have been there from time immemorial they grabbed their land and continue to squeeze the Palestinians who have nowhere to go. The financiers of this horrible regime are in the USA and UK and Russia. They need to be relocated to the dessert or reclaim land from the Sea like in the Netherlands they cannot expect to continue to live in glass houses while throwing stones.

I stopped going to church when the preacher told the congregation that 'israelis are the chosen folks" i asked myself what was i doing there listening to the crap i started respecting our Ngai not foreign god who discriminates . My uncle was imprisoned for supporting the mau mau cause . After detention he did not live long. The British created state of Israel in the midst of the Palestinians in 1948 but the israelis wanted more land and they kill to get it for free they chase the owners by gun . can you imangine how it is to live in Jail. that is the life of the palestinians for 56 years and they have had enough. USA government instead of asking Israelis to show restrain they are arming them and are close to sending their own army . arming a country with arsenal to fight 'TINY GAZA' It is no wonder USA supported Arpatheid rule to the end. Mandela was registered as a 'TERRORIST' by the US government it was only in 2008 that Bush lifted that restriction after intervention of Condoleeza Rice. Mandela as a president had to apply for a visa to go to USA. Russia supported S.Africa that is why they lean to Russia irrespective because they know USA is DISOHONEST it can lift you or drop you like a bomb whenever they choose. Kenya knows why sometimes one has to fight for own rights therefore Ruto should stop putting Kenyans in a position to choose . we did not give him that mandate . to speak for us . am overjoyed by Spain and Greece who dare go to the street to demonstrate support for Palestinians .it is not the HAMAS israelis are murdering it is a palestinia child and mother/father. while the world watches the Arabs themselves their money gives them to be listened to . why are Arab countries supporting Israel in silence . This is not good at all israelis play vicitims all their lives yet they are the aggressor. They have no respect for any other human being except themselves. but 99% of the world buy it

This will sound cold but why should black people care? Arabs and Jews all look down upon us and treat us with contempt. It's unfortunate people died but that is life, we all will die eventually due to different circumstances. I doubt that either of these groups would care if it were black people dieing. Oh, wait there are black people dieing in Ethiopia, Sudan and a few other places yet neither of these two care.

@Mundumugo, my concern is why these atrocities even occur in the world today.
If we can spit the atom, send man to the moon, create artificial intelligence, making supper computers, like the Frontier. Not only that, look at the medicines we have that combats diseases that afew years ago wiped out masses, the internet,...on and on. These are complex things that require top human intelligence.I think you will agree...
We have done wonders in technological, and medical advancement, but we seem to be still on the primitive level when it comes to human relationships. WHY?- Cann't we apply the same sharp brains to solve them? You will also agree that we are smart enough.Or arent't we...?

Once you are able to paint someone as other, it's easy to then do unspeakable things to them. I was watching some show yesterday and some aged retired general referred to Hamas as animals. It's not a long journey from there to calling for the elimination of these animals. This am I heard some lady refer to this as the second holocaust. What follows such statements shouldn't surprise anyone. Israel has been terrorizing Palestinians for decades but not one of the main media sources will call it out rather they make excuses. If you have no peaceful options, what other path is there? Historically the British only highlighted violence perpetrated by the Land and Freedom Army, never what they themselves did to combatants and innocents alike. Times change, human nature remains.

I agree with you,but you did not delve into my question about whether human beings are smart enough to live in peace. Even if they look at others as animals, some of us should still be smart enough to say NO they are just like us... You get my drift.
Well, Iguess you answered sort of when you sid human nature remains(constant). I hope not...
