Rita Waeni Murder: How Killer Used Stone to Hide Victim's Head in Kiambaa Dam

Detectives have uncovered a stone hidden in clothing, which was apparently used to cover the head of a 20-year-old woman named Rita Waeni.
On Sunday, a stone was discovered at Kiambaa Dam, leading the police commander to speculate that the murderer had intended to sink the head into the water. Unfortunately for the culprit, the plan did not unfold as expected as the head was instead found floating in the dam. The size of the stone used by the suspect remains unknown. The head showed signs of decomposition and has since been taken to the City Mortuary for further analysis and identification.
The head, bundled in a purple blouse, was found along with the stone, hinting that the stone was strategically positioned to submerge the head. According to the police chief, the body of the young adult was transported to the morgue for further investigation. Nevertheless, the community members are unfazed by the discovery, as numerous bodies had previously been discarded in the reservoir. The residents highlight the absence of adequate security measures at the dam, such as a fence, and the fact that people frequently swim there. They appeal to the government to tackle this concern.
As the investigation into the murder of a 20-year-old in Roysambu continues, the police are diligently working to uncover the truth. In their pursuit of justice, the government's chief pathologist Johansen Oduor shares that they have gathered diverse samples from the victim's body. These samples will be examined to ascertain the presence of any unfamiliar DNA. The detectives are particularly focused on the victim's fingernails as the culprit attempted to remove them to conceal their own genetic material from the authorities.
At present, the police have detained four Kenyans and one Nigerian in relation to the homicide case. While the Kenyan suspects have already made their appearance in court, the whereabouts of the Nigerian suspect remain undisclosed.
