Police Expose Sophisticated Scheme for Selling Marijuana in Upscale Estates

In an operation led by Langata OCPD Monica Kimani, police officers from Langata Police Station have conducted a raid on a business in Karen estate that was allegedly involved in drug trafficking.

The operation exposes a new method employed by drug dealers to entice affluent residents living in upscale neighbourhoods. Unlike traditional drug transactions, the people involved in this enterprise avoid face-to-face encounters. Instead, they utilized cutting-edge technology, posing as an ATM, to maintain their anonymity. Upon entering the establishment, customers would discreetly purchase using a sophisticated audio communication system.

To ensure no direct interaction between buyers and sellers, transactions were conducted using mobile money services. After confirming payment, the dealer would discreetly hand over the drugs through a small opening in a shaded glass barrier. The purpose of the shaded glass was to conceal the dealers' identities from the customers. Kimani shares her discoveries from the operation, affirming that the establishment situated in the Liberty area of Karen, hidden behind shops and close to garages, was indeed engaged in the trade of marijuana.

The police have not revealed the worth of the discovered cannabis, but they have acknowledged confiscating a significant quantity. They have also stated their intention to carry out additional inquiries to dismantle similar illegal operations targeting university students in the area.

"A contact number is available for purchasing these items. We will investigate to determine the owner and apprehend those accountable for this undertaking."

"I strongly advise young people, especially considering the presence of numerous universities in this area, to refrain from using drugs. I am deeply concerned by the number of individuals who were present and expressed their opposition to the operation," she explains.

Rich kids not immune from drug use. Without quality and safety controls these drugs do irreversible damage to young brains. War on drugs seems to have been lost

Nonsense, since we love aping the US, we should also decriminalise the use of pot. Corruption is more harmful to society than weed
