It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dearest brother Thomas Starks of Bel Air, Maryland, that occurred on January 25, 2018, following a long battle with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). He was husband to Angela Nduta Starks and a loving father to sons TJ & Brian Mwangi Starks. He was also a brother in-law to William and Susan Roberts, Rose Karoki, Jane Karoki and Catherine Karoki.
Family & Friends are meeting daily for prayers from 6.30pm (but are also welcome anytime during the day) at her sister's (Susan) residence: 430 Jumpers Ct., Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
Funeral arrangements: Friday, February 2, 2018

Interment: Crownsville Veteran’s Cemetery at 1:45 pm.

Sorry but people do die from consequences of PTSD.
However, as a military personnel he would have been entitled to some type of disability benefits and or paid funeral arrangements and even a benefit for his widow.
So like you, I am curious.
