Raila: We'll Not "Accept and Move On" This Time

National Super Alliance (Nasa) leader Raila Odinga has maintained that he will not succumb to internal and external pressure to "accept and move on" after the August 8th elections.

Speaking during Mombasa governor Hassan Joho's inauguration on Tuesday, the former Prime Minister unveiled a campaign he dubbed "national campaign for truth and electoral justice in Kenya".

“We have reached a point that Kenyans must wake up. Stealing of elections must stop and this was the last time,” he said at Mama Ngina Drive gardens.

“From Mombasa to the entire country, I call on Kenyans to reject a stolen poll. The way Kenyans voted should be respected by the court and those who were defeated,” he said.
He claimed local observers had put pressure on Nasa to concede defeat and insisted that they would not until justice is done.

“We shall not accept and move on so today we launch a campaign for truth and electoral justice in Kenya,” he said.

He insisted that August 8th General Election was rigged in favor President Uhuru Kenyatta and alleged that electoral commission computers were programmed to give Uhuru a 54 per cent win and some selected governors.

He said “experts in electoral fraud” were the ones supervised the tallying of votes at the national tallying centre in Bomas of Kenya and that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s votes for Mombasa county were inflated.

Raila says “We have reached a point where Kenyans must wake up”. Raila, Kenyans woke up long ago or are the 45% who voted for you are the Kenyans? Those who did not vote for you are not Kenyans? Wake up Raila; we have even gone digital but you are still in the analogue ages. You need to change and see the light of the day. Even before the campaigns started, you had said “by hook or crook” you will join the government. The hook broke on August 8, 2017; You are now on the crook – crook means the dishonest person (thief). Is that the crook you means or a different crook?

Raila you sound like you would like to see a repeat of what happened in 2007/2008. We Kenyans say NO to violence. You disagreed with the EIBC decision and now you have appealed to the Supreme Court. We are patient awaiting its decision and whoever it will proclaim the winner is the one we shall follow. If it will not be you then you should retire with dignity and if you continue to incite people you will be better of behind bars

Most folks have moved on with their daily activities. If you insist that you are not going to accept the election results go ahead, but be very careful not to incite the public. Jubilee is in the state house and ready to go to work. The rest is history. Adios amigo.

@Guest1: Tell us! How does it feel for your election to be stolen 3 times? Who is the thief? Why can RAO learn to steal? Oh! I forgot he is Joshua.

Whether he accepts to move on or not ... who the heck cares !!! Even his generals like Joho have abandoned him and are been sworn in using results from the rigged election. Why would nasa winners accept to be sworn in if their baba says the entire election was rigged (from president to mca). So the winners must trust the election results were authentic. Its like a father telling his kids not to eat food imeganda .. then the kids tell the dad ... mzee wewe kaa njaa peke yako .. wacha sisi tukule chakula ya mami .. tumeona akipika saa hii na iko sawa ... shauri yako ..

Raila must be veeeeeerrrrry stupid to think the Supreme court will change anything. Very stupid indeed ... but he has a right to display his stupidity to the judges and the world ... kazi lazima iendelee .. apende asipende

If indeed some technocrats hacked the voting system, all RAO and his comrades have to do is offer the hacker(s)10 million dollars, and a witness protection. With that kind of money in a third world country, most people would rethink their moral positions.Betraying a code of silence would be a piece of cake,I would think...this offer should also be extended to Msando's killers...
