Hundreds of Jubilee Supporters Demonstrate Outside Supreme Court Over Nullification of President Uhuru's Win

Hundreds of Jubilee supporters on Tuesday staged peaceful demonstrations outside the Supreme Court accusing the judges of unfairly overturning President Uhuru Kenyatta’s August 8th victory.

The demonstrators waved placards against Chief Justice David Maraga accusing him of slowing the country after nullification of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win.

The protesters, mainly donning red t-shirts were also demanding for the swearing in of President Uhuru Kenyatta or a re-count of the votes among others.

A couple of police officers deployed around the Judiciary were watching from a distance, waiting to act in case the demos turned violent.

The protests come amid a petitioner filed an ouster bid with the Judicial Service Commission seeking probe and removal of Justice Isaac Lenaola and Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu over alleged collusion with Siaya Senator James Orengo and Moses Wetangula to have Kenyatta’s win annulled.

The damning was filed by Derrick Malika on Monday. It shows that the four were in constant communication during the proceedings.

The petitioner accused the two judges of gross misconduct and is seeking to have the judges removed from office.

The whole of Central province should camp at the courthouse and see if anything gets done. Somebody tell this people that Kenya is not a banana state nor is the Supreme court their mother or father to bow to their whims. The days of kangaroo courts are long gone. Élections will be held when IEBC makes the necessary reforms .The sitting president needs to stop ordering the Supreme court around they are equal Under the law and as Maraga stated if they cannot fathom an independent judiciary they need to abolish it all together.Uhuru why are you using this desparate youth to do your dirty job you will not rule Kenya by force.

The 40 days of the thieves are here. Mass action without destruction of life and property is what Kenya needs. Power is in the people and not the politicians. Keep it up but abide by the law. We are more civilized than others think.

@Anonymous: "The whole of Central Province should camp at the courthouse and see if anything gets done!"

Just think again about what you just said. Brother Anonymous, let us look for positive solutions that will bring respect, love, and mutual understanding to all the people of Kenya.

Raila and Maranga are working together to stage a coup against the will of people and should be treated like a threat to national security. Nasa and Maranga are one. Maranga was bribed by Nasa to nullify the election.

What people should realize is that the supreme judges were bribed to nullify the election and Maranga and Raila are a threat to Kenya government and should be taken seriously. They are staging a coup against the democratically elected government

What an interesting day? For one Maranga, instead of addressing the issue of his collegues being compromised and quelling anxiety coming from different parts of the country, Maraga opted to talk about himself and his need for security. Security he has always had but suddenly "did not have it today". What a coincidence? He even suggested that if the gova does not want Judiciary it should hold a referendum to scrap Judiciary. Like that is even possible in a democracy. Meaning its either him or a referendum nothing else. Meanwhile, Chebukati was calling for ICT guys to resign per Raila's demands. Finally it was all RAO on NTV news at 9 pm talking about his usual demands to IEBC. C'mmon, this conspiracy is running deeper than the eye can see. All these guys are well coordinated and working together.

I am listenig to Mwilu Speak and I cannot believe my ears. All they are talking about is servers and computers. There is no talk about the fact that this was essentially a paper ballot. The ballots are there. The court could have ordered a recount of the ballots. So that the will of the People would have been respected. This is a travesty. The justices are dishing out only injustice. Our very own supreme court justices stole the election from the Kenyan Electorate.God Help us.Maybe JSC should consider the misconduct accusation against mwilu and lenaola. This Judgement should be annulled. We need strict fidelity to the will of the Kenyan People in Kenya esp from the supreme court justices.IF the court is going to hold on to this very ridiculous standard of expectation from the IEBC,How is the IEBC going to do any better than they did.How much better can IEBC really do?God help us.The supreme court justices erred. They should simply have affirmed the clear will of the People.By;1)asking for a recount ,then 2)affirming the winner. Why can't reasonable heads prevail?UHURU won this election. Our supreme court justices are just simply wrong.

However I think that this is the time for the Jubilee party to really provide leadership for the country.Yes I personally think that the supreme court did not make the right judgement. But the jubilee Party is in control of the ship of state and as such should use its weight to maintain Peace,Civil Order and Stability in the country. For the benefit of all Kenyans. In my opinion Kenyans will inturn reward the Jubilee Party by supporting it even more and with even greater majorities.UHURUTO Tano Tena.
