Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi Declares His 2022 Presidential Quest

Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi has declared his presidential bid in the 2022 general elections.

Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony of the Kilifi county executive committee members on Thursday, the ODM governor said he will go for the country's top seat in a bid to liberate the coast region.

He further vowed to continue pushing for secession of the coast region, noting that going for Presidency in 2022 will boost his quest of making the region autonomous.

"People will be maimed while others will be threatened but we as leaders must come together to fight for this cause," he stated.

Kingi noted: "Not everyone would want to see the region get justice. We will be prosecuted and some will be harassed but we must hold together to save our future generations."

Kilifi North Member of Parliament Owen Baya, who attended the ceremony said the motion of secession will be tabled in Parliament once it reconvenes.

"Whoever thought the motion was dead is wrong as it will be tabled immediately we resume sittings. We have been marginalised for a long time and this must come to an end," Mr Baya affirmed.

Others who have declared their interests to succeed President Kenyatta include; Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, Alfred Mutua (Machakos), former Meru Governor Peter Munya, Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, ANC leaders Musalia Mudavadi and Deputy President William Ruto.

Your dreams are valid. You want to secede and at the same time be the president of republic of Kenya. Talking out of both sides of the mouth

It's too early start 2022 politics. All these politicians should start effecting projects and help build the country until one year before the elections. Come 2022 Kenyans will ask what you have already done for your local area that you can show and duplicate in the whole country. If you cannot do it for your local area, neither can you do it for the whole country. Kenyans are awake, no one will be elected without a trail of performance any more. We need politicians who will make words become deeds. I hope parliament passes a law to halt perpetual campaigning until one year before elections otherwise these politicians will end up becoming crowns

Given we all want to be presidents and top leaders, who will be willing to be led? we will end up with political over-representation and the few at the base will bear the mighty weight of the "leadership".

Both Kingi and Joho are ringleaders in the secession movement by a bunch of fools and political demagogues out to mislead their ignorant blind followers. Yet, the two lead donkeys want to be the president of the Republic of Kenya? What a piece of balloney!!!! Let them secede first (daydream in a smoke filled dreamland), then the two donkeys can compete to become the president of kondoo!!!!
