Raila Meets Kikuyu Elders in Nairobi

Opposition leader Raila Odinga on Monday held discussions with leaders from the Kikuyu Council of Elders.

During the meeting at his Capitol Hill Office in Upper Hill, Nairobi, Odinga assured the elders of his commitment to uniting the country through his March 9th handshake with President Kenyatta.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader also told the elders that he has given full support to the Head of State in the war against corruption.

"Leaders of the Kikuyu Council of Elders called on me at Capitol Hill sq earlier today. I assured them that the war on corruption has my full backing, in line with my agreement with the President to deny refuge to those accused of corruption and who try to hide behind parties and communities," Odinga said in a tweet on Monday.

The meeting came barely hours after Odinga jetted back to the country from South Africa, where he mediated talks between warring South Sudan President Salva Kiir and exiled rebel leader Riek Machar.

Who are these busybodies and who do they represent? How much were they paid by muuaji Raila for killing 1200 Gikuyu of the 1300 Kenyans he killed in 07/08 PEV?The so called Kikuyu Council of Elders are idlers who have represent themselves.

@Karing'a:

Please have the courage to admit that, during the 07/08 PEV, Ruto and Uhuru were involved in the mass killings while Raila was involved in the 1982 killings when he attempted to overthrow the government!

It was Ruto and Uhuru who were taken to Hague! And we all know what happened after that! "Truth" is a rare commodity in Kenya. That's why corruption is so rampant and Uhuru and Ruto have raised it to a high level of 240% since they came to power.

Truth be said that Ocampo and Bensuda prosecuted the wrong people instead of real murderers.ICC could have convicted at least three people if the so-called prosecutors included gen Kiguoya Kibaki who as CIC allowed muuaji Raila to kill Kenyans so that they get a chance to loot. And they looted in the nusu mukate era.Even corrupt prosecutors-Wako and Tobiko helped muchawi escape justice when they ruled that prosecuting him(muchawi)will cause civil war in Kenya.

07/08 PEV: Uhuru and Ruto - Taken to ICC in Hague. We all know what happened there.

1982 casualties: Raila - when he tried to overthrow the government.

Raila, Gikuyu elders can only give advice in matters of culture. We hope you showed them what you have done for your people for fourty years in politics because that trend will definitely predict what you will continue doing for your people if you get to power, what you will do for the Gikuyu's and indeed for the whole country. This is a new generation that does not accept mere talk, they want actions and performance that is visible, not empty hope. Gikuyu's and indeed all Kenyans do not want you to do anything for them, all they need is a safe and peaceful environment where they are able to do for themselves and their families without interference. No one can do anything for another the way one can do for him or herself.

@Imara,what was Uhuru's motive in the 2007/08 mass killings as you've asserted? Facts indicate that Raila ran for president and Ruto was his running mate. KANU (Uhuru was President of KANU), presented no candidate for that presidential contest. What then did Uhuru stand to gain by these mass killings? Was Uhuru killing innocent people for fun? As for Hague, Uhuru was put in that list as a kikuyu factor in the equation. Obviously it would have looked awful if the truth was reflected to the world; and that is other Kenyan tribes burning kikuyus alive in a church, terrorising them and killing them at random just because of their tribe. But with a kikuyu (Uhuru) presented at Hague as a participant in the mass killings, the narrative was changed and tamed.

I am still waiting to know who these elders represented. Who had sent them? Do they represent Nyandarua, Rift Valley, Coast, Nyeri, Muranga, Kiambu or Garissa Kikuyu? Maybe United Kisumu Kikuyu. I rest my case.

I cannot be in the same room with this killer of innocent Kenyans, corrupt n economic saboteur.Thats how he will b remembered by over 45.5m Kenyans. The other 3-5 r the ones from western province who die for him

@Mwororo: Correction: Mudavadi was Raila's running mate not Ruto!

Corruption is the primary reason why, even after 10 years since the holocaust in Kiambaa Church in Eldoret, no one has been arrested, prosecuted, fined, or even jailed.

Corruption as we know it will be responsible for the ultimate destruction of Kenya.

SOLUTION:

First, dismantle the current IEBC as it exists now. This corrupt joint is responsible for clearing incompetent, corrupt, murderers, thieves, rapists, drug dealers, alcoholics, drug users, and people with fake degrees run for an elective public office.
