Former Starehe MP Bishop Margaret Wanjiru Put on Oxygen After Contracting Covid-19

Former Starehe MP Bishop Margaret Wanjiru has reportedly been admitted to the hospital after contracting Covid-19, according to reports.
Bishop Wanjiru was taken to a Nairobi hospital after falling ill at her home in Runda estate and was put on oxygen support, The Star reported on Thursday.
It is not clear whether she is on a ventilator or just an oxygen concentrator. Reports indicate Bishop Wanjiru, the founder of Jesus Is Alive Ministries, fell sick after recently hosting a group of 18 people at her house. Out of the 18 people who attended the said meeting, nine tested positive for Covid-19 while the remaining were not infected but have been sent into quarantine.
By holding a meeting of 18 persons, Wanjiru defied the government’s ban on gatherings of people exceeding 15.
On Thursday, Kenya recorded 80 new cases of Covid-19, the highest number of infections in a single day. This raised the total number of infections to 1,109. Nairobi had the most new cases at 41 followed by Mombasa (20), Siaya (7), Kwale (6), Garissa (3), Kajiado (2), and Taita-Taveta (1).
So far, Kenya has registered 375 Covid-19 recoveries along 50 fatalities confirmed to have been caused by Covid-19.

On a separate note under different circumstances she would be on a flight to South Africa or Europe.
