Kenyan Woman Hit and Killed By a Car in Hyattsville, Maryland

I am very sorry for the loss for this family, very sad indeed.

Have anyone else noticed that there has been so many deaths that happens among Kenyans in Maryland? I noticed early last year and i have commented about it in Mwakilishi. Even most of the orbituaries we have currently, they are from Maryland. It's a Trend i have noticed.

Pia walevi tele sana huko Md and many are involved in shady deals especially those residing in Outskirts of Baltimore. I know this for a fact as I lived there for 10 years before moving to N Carolina.

And 9 out 10 (90%) of the Orbitures are from Central Province; Kikuyus.

@Sue..a trend? Mhhh...maybe there a big concentration of Kenyan community over there. I doubt death is something any community would dare trend with! However, if the spirit of death has chosen to trend amongst our sisters and brothers there, then I say: Ashindwe, kwa jina la mwenye nguvu!

Sue you are a genius, I have noticed there has been many death among Americans in Boston and even most obituaries we have currently in Boston Globe are from Boston.

Life in Maryland is tough. Many Kenyans are living by the paycheque. Discrimination and a lack of proper family ties, network, career has caught up with many Kenyans there. A lack of a Career destination and age has also caught up with many Kenyans. Not just Kenyans in Maryland but also in many other diaspora destinations.

R.I.P Hellen. I do not understand how the accidental death of this Kenyan lady has led to all these discussions that has nothing to do with her death. How about just keep her family in your prayers and keep your misguided thoughts and armchair psychology to yourself.

Simple and clear mwakilishi is based in Maryland stop all these other nonsense. Kenyans are dying everywhere.

Those who move from that state fair better. Others just stay on their own to avoid unnecessary Gossiping and conflicts.

@Fundi, the reason you don’t understand our discussion is because your intellectual level is below an “A” type thinking. Just because we are having this discussion doesn’t mean we don’t care for Helen leaving us. A close mind has no direction.

Realizing there is many deaths could bring a serious discovery to understand why. Once a cause is concluded, then a solution could be found. Always take time to think on a 3D dimension. That’s all.

Sorry for the lose l have known Hellen from from 2005 very nice person. I will miss her. And to the children your mother was a wonderful person may her would Rest In Peace.

May soul rest in peace. I have known Hellen for quite a while through a mutual friend, and I have helped her renew her license for quite a few years. She was a good woman and very caring, she would visit our church in Hyattsville with her friend , Gladys, many time. I will mill her infectious smile. May God comfort her family!
