Kenyan Man Filmed Throwing 4-Month-Old Son onto Concrete Floor Arrested for Murder

Police in Murang’a are detaining a 23-year-old man for allegedly killing his four-month-old son.

Mark Njuguna is reported to have gotten into a confrontation with his wife Mary Muthoni in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.

A video shared on social media shows the suspect physically assaulting his wife in their house before grabbing and violently tossing the infant up in the air. The baby is said to have died immediately after landing on the concrete floor head-first.

Police say Muthoni was able to raise alarm after fleeing from Njuguna, who had earlier threatened to kill her if she attempts to expose his actions.

The infant’s body was moved to General Kago Mortuary in Thika pending post-mortem. It is alleged that Njuguna attacked his wife and the minor after suspecting that the boy is not his biological son.

Njuguna is currently in legal custody as investigations into the incident continue.

The video was from a Tanzanian movie trailer. There might've been a similar incident but the video going around in social media is not it

Police should let the public have a small chat with Raila Njuguna instead of taking him to court to be released on bond.
