Police Rescue 19-Year-Old Kenyan Man Nailed to a Tree
Police in Sabatia, Vihiga County on Friday rescued a teenager who was nailed to a tree on suspicion of stealing a radio set.
19-year-old Collins Sambaya of Chamasili village had both his palms nailed to a tree by a suspect identified as Elvis Irime.
The boy was rescued after North Izava location Chief Evans Endesha reported the matter to Kilingili police station.
When officers from the station arrived at the scene, they found the victim in great pain. Distraught villagers watched in disbelief from a distance as officers rescued him and rushed him to the hospital.
Sambaya was taken to Mbale County Referral Hospital for medical attention and is in stable condition.
Police are in pursuit of Irime, who fled upon seeing police approaching the scene.

@ Shaka, yes it alitle it harsh,but punishment meted out in anger can sometimes get out of control.That's why the perpetrator took off... It could be that he got tired of being robbed,and the radio theft was the straw that broke the camel's back.Yes a mere straw...It unfortunately,but as comrade here said, let it be a lesson for the would be thieves... of Radios...etc.
