Kenyan Housemaid Jailed for Life for Filming Herself Defiling Employer's 4-Year-Old Son

Kenyan Housemaid Jailed for Life for Filming Herself Defiling Employer's 4-Year-Old Son

A Mombasa court has sentenced a house help who sexually assaulted her employer’s four-year-old son to life imprisonment.

21-year-old Edda Wakesho pleaded guilty to defiling the minor, filming the incident, and sharing the explicit videos on the internet. The court heard that the accused was part of a child pornography cartel involving rogue housemaids to film themselves sexually abusing their employer’s children.

Wakesho told Shanzu Senior Resident Magistrate Florence Macharia that she was introduced to the trade through a Facebook friend, who showed her a page on the social media site where people share pornographic videos in exchange for money.

“I was then instructed to send nude photos and videos. They also instructed me to masturbate on camera and share the videos. I did exactly that with the hope that I would be paid at the end of the month,” she confessed.

The accused further alleged that she received death threats if she failed to cooperate with those behind the cartel.

The boy’s mother told the court that she received videos of her son from a strange number threatening to share them on social media if the family failed to send money. This was after Wakesho quit her job.

Wakesho pleaded guilty to assaulting the boy between June 2020 and October 2021 and was sentenced to life in prison plus 10 years for child pornography. The sentences run concurrently.

“The four-year-old child had no idea of what was happening to him. His innocence was taken away by the accused. She is therefore sentenced to serve life imprisonment,” the magistrate ruled on Wednesday.

The late Mohandas K. Gandhi of India once said:

There are unjust laws just as there are unjust men."

What Dada Wakesho did is definitely wrong. However, a twenty-one year old to spend the rest of her life in jail is equally morally wrong.

A Terrible crime that demands harsh punishment but not life sentence in jail. I think the magistrate overreacted. Housemaids in Kenya are for the most part the most exploited people on Earth. They are desperate and out of desperation they can be held hostage by criminal cartels. The Magistrate should have taken into consideration or investigated her claim before sentencing. This shows how immature the justice system in Kenya is. Magistrates and Judges acting out of emotions like kids rather than rationality or law. There are terrible criminals in Kenya that get away with a lot crimes including murders, public exploitation, corruption, etc. The lady need to appeal the sentence. Mwakilishi readers should consider helping this lady

Acheni akule ugali.... We've been reading about these girls killing kids under their care. Harsh punishment now will deter escalation as is now. Akule ugali life!

Sometimes I wonder who makes these laws... Certainly what this young lady did is against the law,and repulsive to to say the least. And she should be punished. However, considering her age,and what she did,I think the punishment is just too harsh. Heck she in only 21 years, and who knows if her mental state is still at minor's level. This is crashing a fly with a sledge hammer...
Was her mental state looked in to... I hope.
They say justice is blind,Well You replace this maid with a girl from a well to do family and the verdict might be totally different.Money is known to skew justice, unfortunately.
Iam not in anyway defending young offender, but please take alook at what"damage" was caused" Fortunately at 4 years, this boy very likely will grow up very norma, and if there is any "damage", healing time is on his side.Same cannot be said for this young lady. How about some intense therapy for her, in addition to some time in jail to reflect on her crime? Certainly jail or life does not fit the crime in my view.
Playing the devils's advocate as I always do from time to time, I wonder if the 4 year victim was a young pretty girl "violated by a black beastly looking young man", could the punishment be the same? That is blind?

Who the helll is this judge? The 21 year old deserves some sentencing, but not "death" sentence that this foolish judge did.Do these Kenyan judges have common sense at all?

Life imprisonment is harsh sentence. In UK, mostly, women teachers who sexually exploit young underage boys get a sentence of four years maximum- But they less than half their sentence and let out on parole as they have shown remorse and are not considered danger to young anymore.
Doubt if she made a four year old perform full sexual intercourse. Did the magistrate consider her mental state of health or if she had mental health issues or underlying causes that compelled her to earn money.
She should appeal for reduction in sentence.

Sexual assault is an incredibly heinous crime. That being said ,the sentence is absolutely disproportionate to the crime.Coercion, intimidation and/or manipulation can be used as exculpatory evidence to ‘lessen’’a verdict. There’s a reason pimps get severe sentences than hookers ( in a sound legal environment). Let me qualify my 2cents (to the inept idiot who roams here spewing his ignorance) I am in no way condoning her act, I believe rehabilitation would be more appropriate than I life sentence.✊🏿 ✌🏿

Two sets of laws for the KENYAN population.
How many POLITICIANS have MURDERED innocent women in KENYA and are still walking free??
I'm not condoning the actions of Edda Wakesho, but SERIOUSLY life imprisonment?

Did you know that b4 colonialism there was no prostitution?
Porno is pandemic that's is destructive to society. It is from the West. They legalized it and called it art. Spain had a dictator but after being removed the results was democracy and prostitution. Democracy is probably from hell. It comes with all good and bad stuff.
Internet providers could lock out porn by presidential decree. It's easy fix. Or Parliament pass law. Only the West producer is benefiting from shooting Africa porno. Outlaw ban outlaw ban.

@ Go crypto, I think in every known human society, some form of prostitution has existed. Of course, I cannot imagine a brothel in an african village in 17th century, but I stand corrected.
Most notably, Islam has practiced temporary marriages called "mutah".This is a form of prostitution.Basically a man "rents" awoman and pays for her services.I believe, this Mutah according to Islam/Koran lasts only three days...

Nawaomba wanasheria wachache wa Kenya wajitolee kumsaidia Dada Wakesho kwa hukumu ya hasira aliyoipata kutoka kwa hakimu wa Mombasa.
