MP William Kamket Ditches Raila's Azimio for Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza Alliance

Tiaty Member of Parliament William Kamket has ditched Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition which is led by Raila Odinga.

Kamket, who successfully defended his seat in the August 9th general election on a KANU party ticket, on Thursday decamped to President-elect William Ruto-led Kenya Kwanza alliance.

"Working together is imperative for the full realization of the economic objectives we promised the people of Kenya. I am pleased to welcome Tiaty MP William Kamket to Kenya Kwanza," Ruto wrote on Twitter after meeting Kamket at his Karen residence.

Kamket retained his seat after garnering 17,933 votes, flooring his closest challenger Asman Kamama of the Kenya Union Party who received 13,037 votes.

He is a close ally of KANU Party Chairman Gideon Moi, whose bid to retain his Baringo senate seat in the just concluded election failed.

Kamket joins the growing number of MPs and elected leaders who have switched from Azimio to Kenya Kwanza after the August 9th election.

The tide was too strong for him to ignore as a loner, he better get in line & join or follow suit like the rest of his comrades heading home
