Gov’t to Help More Kenyans Secure Jobs in South Korea, President Ruto Says

President Ruto has said his administration is determined to increase the number of Kenyans working in South Korea from the current 300 to 10,000 by his next visit to the Asian country.

Ruto, who is on a three-day State visit to South Korea, spoke during a meeting with the Kenyan community in Seoul on Tuesday.

“We have about 300 Kenyans in South Korea, the next time I come to South Korea I hope we will have 10,000 Kenyan youth working here,” he said.

The president said Kenya will mainly focus on value addition with a view of exporting value-added products to South Korea.

“We must move from processing five percent of our tea to 50 percent in the next five years and in 10 years time we should be able to process every gram of tea grown in Kenya,” he added.

In a statement, State House said the government plans to strengthen economic ties with South Korea in order to provide business and job possibilities for Kenyans.

Kenya looks to partner with the government of South Korea to expand potential in technology, trade, investment, and maritime activities.

Ruto, who is accompanied by Cabinet Secretaries Moses Kuria (Trade), Eliud Owalo (ICT), and Alfred Mutua (Foreign and Diaspora Affairs), is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with President Yoon Suk-Yeol.

@ Papa, yeap, right now South Korea has the 10th largest economy in the world.HOw did they do it? By good planning, vision, desire, workforce, and brains...
From early 70s, Korea has embarked on planning sessions.Year after year, they assemble scholars, business leaders, financiers ,planners and brain storm on how to broaden their economy. They have consciously ventured into hightech industries such as micro electronics, aerospace, bioengineering while still maintaining high production of automobile and ships. Not contrast that with Kenya. What happened?obviously what happened in not good.So how do we get back on track and catch up with Korea,if not surpass it,economic wise?
We should not pride our selves in sending 10K workers over their.Instead,we should be creating work for these kenyans in the country.

This is another scam that ruto is peddling to Kenyans. Koreans are the worst racist folks on the face of the earth.

I lived in Itawon in Soule South Korea for 16 months. I can assure you that Koreans hate black people. The country stinks like hell on earth due to the fermented Kimochi by the river bends.

Most Africans ( mostly Nigerians) that I found there were working in the underground Mutumba markets selling low quality clothes, dog and cat meats.

Every time we went to the uphill King Club, we got accosted by young Korean lads baying for our blood and life. We had to fight for in trains every time we boarded them. I recall very well a fight we had as we travelled by Train from Soule to Pusan because Koreans wanted to throw us out of the train. They did not want black people riding in the sane train with them.

Well if that is what Ruto is calling jobs, you are welcome to the land od stinky Kimuchi where you will be fighting fir your life on daily basis.

I dont know what kind of jobs Ruto was promised, but I gave a feeling that Ruto is lying to score some politica kundos at the expense of Kenyans lives.

Just look at the real black oil that comes out the Hundai engine every time you take for oil change after 3000 miles.

Compare that nasty slash with what cones out of a Toyota, Honda, Nissan - all manufactured by Japanese.

And that is the time you get to know a lemon car and a well made machine! I hate the Hundais with a passion.

Folks beware the kind of lies Ruto and his cabinet dispenses to you. Would anyone trust all those in Ruro tram to South Korea. Kuria has already despised Kenyans by taking them fir stupids on GMO foods - is that a gut any Kenyan can trust??

As Atwoli says, these folks think you are very stupid and kubafu. Shenzi wao!

Sam (not verified)     Wed, 11/23/2022 @ 09:13am

These folks will bring Kenyans some cheap hydai cars which Koreans themselves don't drive. All they want is to get a cut to benefit their pockets.Buckle up Kenyans. You got conmen doing dangerous deals for you and your country.

Someone feed ruto Kiugugi (Korea dog meat), mixed with Ramen-noodles and some hot kimuchi to burn the Koome hot air out of his lies.

Ask the 300 Kenyans living in Souel Korea what they do for a living before you export another 10K young Kenyans there.

Anyone can see Ruto does not understand the world at all.

Count kikuyus out because Ruto has already deceived them to give them the votes as he married one of their dummiest woman called Koomet who made him president.

Those so hustler kikuyus are now calling on Uhuru to rescue them with ruto created hunger to kilk the whole tribe.

Even Rigathi is now talking about returning to Mount Kenya forest as a Mau Mau to fight as his marriage to Ruto breaks down quite fast. Now kikuyus are waking up from Ruto’s conmanship real fast.

Oh My God! Ruto took Moses Kuria on this trip? Big mistake. Moses is incapable of controlling his mouth and he might cause the whole entourage to be locked up in Seoul including Ruto himself.

So the Ruto government wheel barrow economy is about exporting human resources to other countries. Slavery 3.0. Africans heads are a new commodity

Koreans are worse racists than Arabs. God help our young people.
Ruto and Co will end up selling the whole country down the river

I have been to both places but I tell you Koreans and Arabs are the forces of demon darkness toward the black people.

They will put a knife in your chest as you watch. They are both very cruel and crude! But Koreans are the worst - they are terribly racist!

SAMco18 (not verified)     Thu, 11/24/2022 @ 06:53am

I hope next election, all other ethnic groups get together, vote as one group and save the republic. It's well documented, Koreans are racist to the core.

This government just wants to get rid of its citizens so they send money back for them to steal. Asia is a NON GO for black folk.

From one colonizer to another.
Africans still haven't learnt after being thrown off trains in Ukraine, thrown off homes during covid in China, dehumanization in middle east!
At this point if you wanna go, that's on you!

Those throwing off Kenyans out of trains and houses are the new Ruto friends. Slavery was started by blacks selling other black people. History is repeating itself real fast. Those who have no experience living in in those countries which hate black people have no cruel what they are talking about. Ati Ruto is telling young Kenya to migrate to the hell hole of South Korea.

youngnairobie (not verified)     Sat, 11/26/2022 @ 10:41am

this imposter with kanu era playbook is slowly showing his real colors.exporting kenyan brains to korea? and 400% increase in migrants instead of creating solutions? leaders who advocate for brain export are no different than irresponsible parents who wants their neighbor to feed them. After kuria and GMO nonsense i am starting to doubt them
