Kisumu Governor Anyang' Nyong'o Undergoes Major Surgery

On July 17th, Governor Anyang' Nyong'o of Kisumu announced that he had undergone a successful spinal surgery at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kisumu.
The governor was admitted on July 14th, just two days after leading anti-government protests in the county. While giving an update on his health, the second-term governor praised the hospital staff for their excellent care during his stay. Governor Nyong'o has been a trusted ally of veteran opposition politician Raila Odinga. The governor has been forthcoming about his health struggles in the past, including his successful battle against prostate cancer.
"Everything has gone extremely well and I am grateful to the hospital CEO, Dr George Rae and his team for taking very good care of me," he noted.
In 2010, he received specialised hormonal treatment and flew to the United States to receive care at the University of California San Fransisco Medical Centre. The governor and his wife, Dorothy Nyong'o, have both been champions in the fight against cancer. At that time, a 77-year-old serving as a Medical Service Minister vowed to help Kenyans access affordable, quality healthcare. According to the study on cancer surgery, it is deemed crucial for Kenyan citizens to be informed in order to promote awareness.
"I decided to go public with my illness because it is not a private matter but a social one and it could have happened to anyone. Kenya is capable of handling such cases if all mechanisms in the medical sciences field are put in place," he stated.

Iam glad that every thing went well, and I wish him full recovery. However, my question is, who is responsible for"...all mechanisms in the medical sciences fied are put in place".And why are they not in place? Do we have people who can put them in place? Basically why are things not in place, after 60 years of independence. And do we have atimeline in which to expect this "mechanisms" to be in place? 60 More years?

How come these elite gangsters are never prevented from diseases and death by their loot and armed bodyguards? In 2010,both majambazi Health ministers,Wambui Muigai&Mugo and Anyang stole NHIF’s shs 5b but the loot couldn’t stop their admission to a California hospital at the same time for cancer treatment.
