Kikuyu Elders

The Limuru III Conference witnessed a significant amalgamation of political prowess and traditional rituals.
Amidst the gathering to foster unity within the region, Kikuyu elders took centre stage alongside the political figures performing a sacred blessing ritual that held profound cultural significance. In a solemn ceremony steeped in Agikuyu tradition, an elder stepped forward, accompanied by others, and delivered remarks that resonated with the collective aspiration for unity. The act of blowing a horn twelve times carried a twofold symbolism – the first nine blows represented the nine Gikuyu subtribes, while the remaining three symbolized the unity of the Agikuyu, Embu, and Meru communities. This symbolic gesture was deeply rooted in prayer, a collective plea for unity among the Mt Kenya community.
The elder's words echoed the belief that this gathering was divinely ordained, urging the community to come together and find common ground. The elders expressed the conviction that their agreement would be heard by God, who would bless them and restore their kingship. In Agikuyu culture, the horn holds a revered status, accompanying rites of passage, oaths, homecomings of warriors, the coronation of village elders, and the honouring of respected figures such as chiefs.
The Limuru III Conference brought together a diverse array of political leaders including Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, Jubilee secretary general Jeremiah Kioni, former Governors Ferdinand Waititu (Kiambu) and Ndiritu Muriithi (Laikipia), as well as MPs Gathoni Wamuchomba (Githunguri), Amos Mwago (Starehe), and Mark Mwenje (Embakasi West). On Friday, the youth of the Mt Kenya region rallied behind Martha Karua and Jeremiah Kioni carrying placards advocating for an equitable distribution of resources across the nation through the "One Vote, One Man, One Shilling" formula. The youth also sought to have their voices heard on the contentious issue of miraa trading policies.

Kenyans must (in the legal channels) rise up against tyranny. Ruto is Moi 2.0. He’ll finish the kikuyu first, then the rest. Raila is in bed with Ruto, so the lead advocate is done fighting for the rights of Kenyans. We all know Ruto is militant and is not afraid to take the country down to a very dark place to get what he wants. He is a liar & can never be trusted like Uhuru warned us. Now the whole country is crying. Stop the crying and speak up against government tyranny.
@ Msemakweli,
Ruto cannot finish the Gikuyu community. Mzungu tried and failed. Moi tried and failed. Ruto is doing God's work. He will slowly lead the Gikuyu community where God wants them.
Let us watch this space.
The Mzungu, while trying to protect the "Mugumo tree at Thika" because the Mzungu knew the prophecy, actually fulfilled the prophecy of the falling of the Mugumo tree.
So let Ruto do his job, and Mwene Nyaga will in the process fulfill the current prophecies that must come to pass.
The final outcome will be what is important.
Let us keep watching this space. We are in spiritual times.
Ruto is very scared of the biggest voting block deserting him. He does not even know how he could rig their votes because they will revolt and send the country into a tail-spin. Riggy told Ruto he ain’t stupid to be roped on the neck by Ruto and company. Ruto better give Rigathi the red meat before he tears you apart.
The unity of the Mountain communities is very obvious. It is divine.
1. One God...same set of beliefs
2. One language
3. One culture.
4. Same original parents
All we need is to iron the small differences and market the similarities and the bond will be so strong no one can break it.
May Mwene Nyaga help our leaders. Save them from greed and corruption. If we stop all corruption in the Mountain region, others will follow.
We hope the Gikuyu community will not allow the spiritual and the cultural to be politicized.
The unity of those communities is divine and soon will be visible for all to see.
We must work hard to keep the spiritual and cultural from politics.
May Mwene Nyaga guide us in this.
