Sifuna's Linda Mwananchi Appoints Pauline Njoroge to Lead Campaign Communications

The Linda Mwananchi Movement has appointed political strategist Pauline Njoroge as interim head of communications in its Presidential Campaign Secretariat as it builds structures ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The appointment was announced after a leadership meeting to review the movement’s restructuring, rebranding and preparations for a wider political campaign. Njoroge will oversee communications as the movement works to establish a more organised campaign operation. Her role is expected to include shaping political messaging and coordinating public engagement as the group  seeks to strengthen its national presence.

She brings more than a decade of experience in Kenyan politics, including campaign communications, engagement with public institutions and work involving regional and international organisations. Her experience in high-level political campaigns is expected to support the movement’s efforts to develop its communications strategy.

Her appointment follows her recent departure from the Jubilee Party, ending an association that dates back to the party’s early years. Njoroge previously traced her political journey to The National Alliance (TNA), which later merged with the United Republican Party (URP) to form Jubilee.

In announcing her departure, she described her time in the party as significant and transformative before confirming her decision to join the Linda Mwananchi Movement. The movement also appointed Fredah Onduso, Abigael Gikonyo and Charity Waweru to its Digital, Media and Publicity Team. The three will work under the communications department to manage the movement’s digital presence, media engagement and publicity activities.

The appointments form part of efforts to establish a coordinated communications operation ahead of the next election. Digital platforms have become important tools for political mobilisation, public engagement and the distribution of campaign messages, making online communications a key part of modern electoral campaigns.

Movement leaders indicated that further appointments to the Presidential Campaign Secretariat would be made in the coming months. The latest changes therefore represent an initial stage in the development of its wider campaign structure. Associated with Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, the Linda Mwananchi Movement has been working to develop its organisational capacity beyond grassroots mobilisation and public rallies.
