During the university’s commemoration of the 509th anniversary of the Reformation, the students set up an exhibition booth serving authentic Kenyan tea and coffee to visitors and faculty members.

The initiative, supported by the Kenyan Embassy in Seoul, focused on using the university gathering to reach a domestic South Korean audience. Beyond serving hot beverages, the students provided travel information to visitors interested in visiting East Africa.

According to a statement released by the embassy, the booth drew steady crowds throughout the event. Mission officials noted that several visitors expressed a desire to travel to Kenya following their interactions with the students.

The embassy praised the students for taking the initiative to represent Kenya and Africa at the university celebration, noting that the student-led effort helped strengthen cultural ties between Kenya and South Korea.
