Governors Form Committee to Steer National Dialogue

The Council of Governors (COG) has formed 10-member committee that will initiate national reconciliation following the disputed presidential election that left the country divided into two.

The team is comprised of Governors Josphat Nanok (Turkana, also the convener), Cornell Rasanga (Siaya), Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni), Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega), and Joyce Laboso (Bomet).

Others include Jackson Mandago (Uasin Gishu), Charity Ngilu (Kitui), Francis Kimemia (Nyandarua), Kiraitu Murungi (Meru), and Salim Mvurya (Kwale).

The team has been tasked to steer a campaign by the Governors dubbed 'National Reconciliation, Dialogue, and Healing'. CoG Chairperson Nanok said the COG agreed to bring the antagonising sides to the table in a bid to strike unity through dialogue.

“We must all seek dialogue and resist perpetuating polarised agendas,” Nanok said.

The opposition led by its leader Raila Odinga has vowed not to recognise Uhuru as president and has announced his swearing in as people's president on December 12th.

DIALOGUE Raila's foot. Nanok is a CHAMELEON Governor who should NEVER lead National Dialogue. He is a FlipFlopper of Mega Disaster: Useless; A Political PROSTITUTE with no Stand, Unreliable and a MANIPULATOR.
