Kalonzo: I Enjoy Being Called a Watermelon, It's a Beautiful Fruit

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has finally spoken on being nicknamed a watermelon - for seemingly being without a clear stand on issues.

Speaking when he attended Orange Democratic Movement's National Delegates Meeting at Orange House in Nairobi on Friday, Kalonzo noted that he finds nothing wrong with being referred as a watermelon and that he has started enjoying being called so.

The former Vice President said he does not mind being referred as so, because Watermelon is actually a "beautiful fruit."

“I am beginning to enjoy this water melon thing, that Kalonzo is a dancing water melon, it is a beautiful fruit. I will tell you the truth today, the person who gave me the name water melon is my brother Raila," Kalonzo said.

Defending himself from claims of being a coward and a traitor, Musyoka said he cannot be a coward as he fears nothing.

“Don’t ever think Kalonzo is a fool, because I have never been, neither have I ever been a coward, never!" He said amid cheers from ODM delegates.

He further pointed out that he is ready to lead Nasa from the front line now that Odinga had taken oath as "President."

“I want to suggest here a little change of tact, now that we have President Raila Amollo Odinga, you will not expect the President to go to the streets. I am volunteering to move into the charge until we move this country, taking an oath is not an issue at all, we are talking serious business,” Musyoka stated.
