Kalonzo: Raila is Firmly in NASA

Opposition leader Raila Odinga is firmly in National Super Alliance (Nasa) despite his unity pact with President Kenyatta, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said.

Speaking in Matinyani on Saturday where he campaigned for Wiper Kitui West by-election candidate, Edith Nyenze, Musyoka refuted reports on the press that the opposition outfit was on its deathbed.

The Nasa co-principal noted that the handshake between President Kenyatta and Odinga didn't mean that he had joined Jubilee.

“Raila has not joined Jubilee and is fully behind NASA,” he said.

Musyoka further assure that the coalition, which was formed by the coming together of Wiper, Raila's Orange Democratic Movement, Ford Kenya of Moses Wetang'ula and Musalia Mudavadi's Amani National Congress, would not sink under his watch.

“We have invested a lot in NASA, we cannot allow Nasa to die, I am the glue that holds Nasa together,” declared Kalonzo

He threw his weight behind Uhuru-Raila peace initiative, even as he called for an all-inclusive political dialogue.

“We are ready for an all-inclusive consultation that will ensure peace and stability for the country. We would not like chaos in Kenya,” he said.

He was flanked by Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua, and MPs Makali Mulu of Kitui Central, Gideon Mulyungi of Mwingi Central, Charles Nguna of Mwingi West and Women Representatives Kamene Kasimbi (Machakos) and Irene Kasalu (Kitui).
