EACC Publishes List of Expensive Properties Acquired Illegally by Former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has published a list of multi-billion shilling property owned by former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and which it claims he acquired illegally.
In an affidavit filed in court, the commission listed assets and property worth Sh9 billion which Kidero allegedly acquired through unscrupulous means during his time as Mumias Sugar Company Managing Director and Nairobi Governor.
Kidero has however maintained that he is a man of fair means and accumulated his wealth gradually over the years since he was first employed in 1983.
He also accuses EACC of subjecting him to endless threats, attacks harassment, witch- hunt and intimidation since he left office last year.
Among the properties the anti-graft agency says Kidero acquired illegally include Yala Towers in Nairobi worth Sh1.2 billion, Muthaiga Heights valued at Sh1 billion and 50 rental units along Riara road worth Sh1 billion.
Others include Gem apartments along State House Crescent whose value is estimated at Sh1 billion, Gem apartments on Rose Avenue valued at Sh700 million, Gem apartments in Gigiri worth Sh100 million, four houses in Nyari estate Nairobi worth Sh800 million and Ndege Road property in Karen valued at 600 million.
EACC also says Kidero owns houses in Riverside phase 2 worth Sh500 million, Muthaiga residential home valued at Sh300 million, a house in Rosslynn near Runda estate worth Sh100 million, Riverside Drive house of value Sh90 million, maisonettes in Lake view, Kisumu worth Sh200 million, two houses in Gigiri valued at Sh200 million, 50 acres in Kisumu county worth Sh100 million, 11 high end vehicles and pieces of land in Homa Bay and Kisumu.
The anti-graft watchdog says it is further investigating how between January 27th 2011, and December 31st, 2015 Sh317 million shillings were wired to 18 bank accounts belonging to Kidero.

The gova is also broke and looking for funds. Your looted property looks just about right to fund SGR and the parallel ( to the old one) highway from Nairobi to Mombasa being funded by the US. 9 Billions will help a lot.

All these kinds of properties must be repossessed and sell, the money to pay part of the Chinese debts. How can these kind of people drain the country while poor Kenyans are dying of poverty. They should be ashamed of themselves. Nobody of the kind should be spared.
