DusitD2 Terrorist Attack: Six More NTSA Officers Arraigned in Court over Car Used by Gunmen

Six National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) officers have been arraigned in court in connection with the January 15th terror attack at 14 Riverside Drive in Westlands, Nairobi.

The six are accused of aiding terrorists who attacked DusitD2 complex, leaving 21 people dead and several others injured.

The six, Anthony Mjaka Kadu, Jacqueline Githinji, Cosmas Ngeso, Nderitu Irving, Stephen Kariuki Mbaka and Charles Wangocho Ndungu are said to have issued a fake number plate for the car used by the gunmen during the attack.

The prosecution says the six were arrested “due to their possible involvement in aiding and abetting the terrorist attack."

They are also said to be part of a racket that makes and sells fake motor vehicle number plates.

Appearing before Senior Resident Magistrate Caroline Nzibe on Friday, the six suspects have been remanded for 30 days pending completion of investigations into the matter.

Another NTSA official, Augustine Mulwa Musembi was paraded in court on Wednesday and police were also allowed to detain him for 30 days.

A Toyota Ractis, registration number KCN 240E was used by armed gunmen who staged the attack in which Somalia-based Islamic terrorist organization Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for.

Police later established that a different car in Kitengela, Kajiado County had the same number plate.

Holding the govt officers accountable? now we are talking. Any officer that through fraud authenticates fake documents need to face the full force of law. If state officers were deterred ruthlessly from corrupt practices, the country would with time heal from the scourge of institutionalized thievery. Reading from the many cases in the country, one would erroneously think that corruption and graft is taught in secondary schools because most have a working knowledge of being corrupt and inept, and they all seem to have excelled in a subject called "wamuingi uragaga karimu".

It’s just PR.

Fraud and terrorism are two very different charges.

The fact that they are calling fraud , terrorism = Epic fail.

They should be charged in the right category or set free.

Fraud is what they should be accused of.

The DCI should stop with the false accusations and pretending to be working .

The DCI should be charged with falsely accusing people of terrorism and with the intention of destroying reputations.

The kenya police and DCI is just doing PR. They need to be taken to court —am sure they are breaking severs laws.

Sasa tumeona kwa nini Al-Shabaab inashambulia nchi ya Kenya lakini si nchi ya Ethiopia.
