President Uhuru Appoints Ukur Yatani as Treasury Cabinet Secretary to Replace Embattled Henry Rotich

President Kenyatta has appointed Ukur Yatani as the acting National Treasury Cabinet Secretary.
Yatani, who serves as the CS of Labour and Social Protection, takes over from Henry Rotich who was on Tuesday charged with corruption over the Sh19 billion Arror-Kimwarer dams' scandal.
Rotich was charged alongside Treasury Principal Secretary Kamau Thugge and over 20 other suspects.
“This will ensure smooth operations and continuity at the National Treasury following the court order affecting Rotich and his PS Kamau Thugge,” State House said in a statement to the press.
Dr. Julius Monzi Muia will replace Thugge as the Treasury Principal Secretary.
Rotich and Thugge were released on a cash bail of Sh15 million or Sh50 million bond with one surety of similar amount after pleading not guilty to over 10 corruption charges including conspiracy to defraud the government and abuse of office.
Kenyatta also appointed Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Gordon Kihalangwa as the new Principal Secretary for the Ministry of Defense while Torome Saitoti was named the Principal Secretary for the State Department of Planning.

Keep recycling them but know that you have a failed government and you need be replaced yourself. Your government doesn't have a single big fish corrupt leader/ judge/ lawyer/tycoon/ or elite rotting in prison, why is that? And yet you swore to eliminate corruption in Kenya? Lock them up and reclaim public looted money from their estates and bank accounts.

Hard to believe that ROT.& THUG would steal with impunity. Now the lid is open and they are exposed. Yes they say that they are innocent, well do you expect them to publicly acknowledge the thievery? Even in court they will deny till mounting evidence drown them. But based on past experiences, I highly doubt if any will get afree room and board at Kamiti. However, I hope to be proven wrong.

It is just a game. No jail terms for these conmen. If they are serious about fighting the corruption why release them so that they can continue stealing and interfere with the case. Confiscate the stolen property or assets. Games people play.
