I Don't Use Witchcraft to Advance My Political Career, Raila Says

ODM leader Raila Odinga has dismissed claims that he uses dark forces to advance his political career.

Odinga insisted that he is not a witchdoctor and does not practice witchcraft as his political opponents often allege, describing himself as a staunch Christian who attends church services regularly.

“They keep calling me mganga. I am not a witchdoctor. I’m a Christian who attends church services regularly, but I do not boast about it,” Raila said.

Speaking at St Stephen’s Lwanya Catholic Church in Busia County on Sunday, Odinga noted that there is no way he can rely on sorcery taking into account the miracles that have happened in his life.

“I do not like boasting about my Christianity. I pray that God may help unite our country,” added Odinga.

Deputy President William Ruto regularly refers Odinga as ‘mganga’ and ‘mtu ya vitendawili.’
